Could work out perfect. Texas opening gets Cal off our hands. Beard pleads down, gets probation and completed counseling just in time to be HC for the CAYTS next year. Cal has one great season with his super class at Texas then slowly fades into retirement. Beard has a so-so year 1 as he rebuilds. Then leads us to several titles over the next decade.

I thought us Kentucky men led the league in that...he would be a kindred spirit. Now with that said no way a woman puts their hands on me...I mean look they want to be treated like men and use our toilets they can expect a shot in the mouth if they initiate violence. I believe in equal rights boys

To be fair, she said he didn't do it....Even told the police that. Although apparently there was evidence saying otherwise; since he went to jail.

I dunno, TBH. If his g/f, fiancee stuck with her story, maybe this would have more cred. Then again she could have came down off the dope and realized she was sending her $$$$ to the big house...

Who knows. If there is no plea, charges are dropped, I'd be all in for an immediate hire. If he pleas down? Meh, I guess.....Maybe. If he is found guilty? CAreer probably over.

My guess......No charges. Although the state does not need the g/f . They can pursue w/o her. But awfully hard to convict. No way he pleas. So no charges, he walks away.

What he did is NEVER acceptable. That said, the circumstances will dictate how long it'll be before he gets another gig. Could be a lot of unprovable grey area. AKA- good lawyering. But he will coach again.

He's not coaching again as a head coach at a high level college or NBA. He beat up a female. He even bit her.

In this day and age it's not gonna fly to hire him. It never should have been forgivable. But it is now.

He's lucky to not be in jail. Forget coaching young men.

And what makes anyone think he's so great at coaching? He took one team to a FF. Cal has been there 6 times but I read here he can't coach.

Yet Pitino can run a hooker service for his players and bang some women on a table in some Louisville restaurant...yet he's still coaching.
