I Don't understand a singing word he is saying but he sings it with passion. It actually makes for good music while hacking away here at the computer.

Right now just 80 and 81. It's just a matter of finding folks online willing to give the recordings. You can also sort through some of the Dick's Picks recordings.

African/Black/Caribbean. Take your pick. One of em, all of em, it really depends on who you ask since cultural appropriation is so confusing and is in the eye of the beholder.

See her hair?...thats the issue some have. Is she appreciating the culture with that hair style or is she appropriating that hair style for fashion to be trendy/edgy/noticed.
See her bikini top?...it was at a Caribbean cultural celebration(hence the flag boobies).

I seriously have a tough time knowing what is and isnt cultural appropriation a lot of times. Cultures have intermixed for millennia and we have a global economy- so its pretty reasonable for fashion to be borrowed between cultures. If it isnt, what the 17 culture am I and am I supposed to take issue with people in other cultures that wear 1/4 zips and shorts?!?!

Admittedly, I often struggle to understand what is appropriation and what is appreciation. There are some obvious examples, but then there are a lot of examples where it just seems the person likes the style of a different culture's clothing/hair and apparently that is bad?...its confusing.

To remove confusion, I'm pretty sure that nowadays, we all have the to right to be offended, or at least feign some incredible offense, at nearly anything we see that is done by people that we don't like, or agree politically with. That seems to be the rule. You must scream loudly about whatever the perceived offense is, and never, ever provide a hint that you are less than sincere in your offendedness. It also helps if you can manage to be fake offended on behalf of a group of which you are not a part. That's the most kind of caring offendedness there is.***
