It’s no surprise to see programs peaks correlate to facility investment. Basketball is getting a best in class facility that will rival thr BEST programs in the country. Football is wayyyy behind most peer programs and that’s before you even get to comparing to the best.

We need a 6 wins in football to get any chance of becoming a destination for local kids. Ash has to to show us he can do that or Hobbs has to show him the door.

As much as Pikiell has done for the basketball program and taking it up to a level of respectably, we'd be remiss to not acknowledge the fact that ash absolutely burying the football program has helped build the RU basketball fan base tremendously as fans eager for a winner at RU are leaving football for bball

I think you’re missing the point. I will try to find link but I believe this has already been proven as fact. This is not just about the last 2.5 years of Rutgers sports.

As a long suffering RU fan, I gravitate towards every team that is doing well. I fully understand that football and mens' BB are the flagship teams, but it is still great to see the teams in the shadows do well. I have actually become something of a LAX fan from this.
