I hear many fans that are now saying this. Why did it take up to this point before fans figured out UNC might just be a tough team to play this season? I mean Roy is still a really good coach and when you take a good coach and add talent it usually means you are going to have a pretty good team. Its like many fans have already forgot Roy had UNC in the national championship game last season. Yeah, UNC will be a tough game for our young cats. They will make a game out of it and odds are it won't be the last time we have to defeat those guys this season. Yeah, I think UNC will be the team we face in the national championship game.
Well we will find out in several weeks.
I know it is silly perhaps, but our team needs to play a very good opponent on their court because without being in a tight game where they have to experience whom to go to, not risk a silly turnover, perform under duress where every offensive play counts. and every rebound counts, we would not want them to first experience this at tourney time. I don't think UCLA will have much of a chance as they have to do what Kentucky did last year, travel a long distance and play on a home court. But, UL could be a very helpful game for this team.

They might be quick, but they haven't faced a backcourt that is as quick as ours. Its not possible. The entire field of college basketball can't match our quickness in the backcourt. I'm not too worried about rebounding. We will get better in that department and will hold our own. Bam will be special. Meeks is talented and their bigs are for real, but we have a few mismatches to throw at UNC ourselves.
I knew they were going to be a top 6-8 team but I didn't think they was going to be as good as last year's team.

We are fast but stay grounded, remember they are young men. We very well may drop a few games this year. I remember thinking it was impossible to be beat in 2015 but then we started playing extremely tight and playing not to lose and well....we know the rest.
Cal is a HOF coach on a mission. So guess they cancel each other out?

I actually thought we were. But, i still think we win that game at UNC. We just wont run them out of the gym....we will win though.

Problem is the NCAA will do their normal tainted bracket placements and ensure UNC and UK are on one side of the bracket and Duke the other.
Don't sleep on Villanova...they are small but they still shoot the lights out of the ball. The UNC game will be fascinating because they want to run just as much as us talk about a track meet. I'm slightly concerned about Gabriel and Willis trying to keep Hicks and Bradley off the glass. UNC may be the only team in the country that has a matchup advantage on us.
NC doesn't count. No team should made made to play filth like that. Maybe after 15 - 20 years of actually requiring athletes to attend classes which are accredited, they might regain some respectability. For now they are a rogue team that the governing institution is too corrupt and cowardly to dismiss from the ranks of respectable division 1 teams.

Because they lost a All American in Brice Johnson, a shooter in Marcus Paige and their starting SG before the season started. I knew they would still be good but I didn't think they would be this good
They are not as good as us but if we don't hit on our free throws they may pull off the win. But I say we only win by 6-8 points in a few weeks.
This will be a big win if we do it. We win this but even some how lost at ul we'd still be ranked #1 heading into SEC play.

If you look at there opponents records this year its like 20-23. So maybe there not *** good as people think. I no we haven't played anyone either but we sure look prwtty darn good
That goes vise versa too. We haven't seen a team like them either and they're much more experienced than we are. They may not have seen a backcourt as fast as our but I'm sure they've faced fast backcourts in the past. We haven't faced anything like their team, frontcourt or backcourt. We do have a few match ups on them but then again, they do too. Quickness in the backcourt is not everything and we need to learn to a play good half court too.
People want to dismiss this UNC team (not you) and say ....."Well, it's the same team as last year minus ......" but it's a good team that made it to the championship with another year to develop. That usually means a damn good team and I'd imagine they'll be ranked #1 at some point in the season and definitely be a top seed. I think this game will be great for us and our development. Definitely be a fun one to watch. Interested to see how our guys respond to the challenge.
The fact these guys are even playing and have a good team is a huge indictment of the NCAA IMO. Should be forced to play with walk-ons for 3 years.

Well first off buddy I never said they was better, that is crazy. They are better then I thought they were. Hats off to Roy and staff after losing a heart breaker in the Championship game. They are lights out good, but not Kentucky good.
