Answer to Q1: yes, it’s his daughter who left home a couple of years ago abruptly after an acrimonious argument with her father over her choice of careers.

Answer to Q2: No. But I am very much open to exploring that option further. “Dad’s” look upon seeing her is subject to interpretation.
