I expect penn state not to make a move. Michigan is probably tired if Harbaugh. With the state of things in Michigan though not sure if they can him this year or next. He might resign and go back to NFL where he doesn’t have to recruit anymore

Mullen Michigan - Freeze Penn State
We need to talk this into existence.
But I really think Mullen will wind up with one of them

Mullen isn’t going anywhere until his kids are older and that will be to the NFL or somewhere up from Florida. He is a great coach. He might go to the NFL or he might end up in Tuscaloosa after Saban dies from old age at 100. Mullen has the only thing that Michigan might offer as a recruiting perk over most other schools which is Jordan brand. Kids love Jordan even more than just plain old Nike. He also has the ability for 4/5* WR to just fall into his lap without trying and enough OL options that even Hevesy can’t screw up enough to not have enough.

He will likely compete for a NC at Florida before he leaves. I said multiple years ago that LSU should have paid him to come. He would have won there. He could have recruited their one constant shortcoming easily, QB....the rest of their team recruits itself.

I know plenty hate him but all the hate in the world can’t discount his abilities and the current state of the game lends itself to his scheme.

Aside from sentimentality for a college football landscape that's changed a good bit since PSU and Michigan were at their peak, what would Mullen's motivation be right now for going to a PSU or Michigan? He's got a blue-ish blood gig already. And UF fans seem happy enough - for the time being. Though it'd be easier than having to beat Bama and UGA every year, he'd have to deal with OSU. And the cold. And likely an orbit of influential boosters and the like that's pretty set in their ways.
