Well, now that you put it that way, what's not to love?I grew up in Essex County - mom cooked it and called it Taylor Ham.
Lived in Central Jersey before moving back to Morris County - and knew it as Pork Roll.
Whatever the branding.......I've evolved (or devolved) to become an equal opportunity lover of salted smoked pork parts compressed and rolled with added carcinogenic preservatives fried up together on a roll or bagel with eggs & cheese.

You may get a credible answer to that question.Looking for a good Italian restaurant in the Big Timber, Montana area
Any ideas?
Love the map. Looks pretty accurate to me.Strange thing for me is that I grew up in SNJ, where supposedly it's known as pork roll, but we called it Taylor Ham, because that's what the packages said. But after a few years at RU, I started calling it pork roll, maybe because more people around me called it that.

What kind of moderator are you?Just joined? April 8th, 2023 qualifies as "just joined"? Wow, learn something new everyday.
What kind of moderator are you?
If you did proper research pal you’d see I set up an account in 2023 and never used it. I just started a 30 day trial with access to Forums.
Don’t you have anything better to do than attack new users?
You’re being a bit too much of a tough guy here. I get it may come from a place of a lot of “new” users who have less-than-perfect agendas registering for TKR, but I don’t get the sense that’s what this is. Maybe I’m wrong, but feels overly harsh. What kind of user are you?

Yeah, could be. Just purely from a business standpoint, I’m not sure I’d be picking a fight with a potential new customer.I think you are.
But maybe I am too.![]()
No Spanky. I just had a free account and couldn’t read premium threads nor post a thread. Now I can as I signed up for premium. You’re being a bit too much of a tough guy here. Why is a MOD picking a fight with a trial user? I’ve seen you on 247 doing the same thing to posters - it’s just who you are I guess
Not everyone is a troll...lol

Very nicely said and thank you for the props - I remember that time well and while it's obviously difficult to have a child (or any loved one) with cancer, one of the other nice elements of the OT topics on this board is that people come together for each other as a community for important things. The support you got for Tyler, which was so nice to see (especially given how well he's been since his treatments), and the support many others get for difficult times (including me when my mom and my wife's dad passed) are wonderful to see, even though we all might argue about politics or other less important stuff. Without the OT "camaraderie" I doubt the support would be as deep. Not picking a fight, but we're finding it kind of odd the hill this "new" poster is choosing to die on. Obviously he has some familiarity with the board; the account was created 2 years ago; he signed up for premium which is where the true info comes from; it's the off season so there's always very little news (which is why we (the staff and moderating team) allow OT's to ride); trust me, I'm angsting for RU Football news as much as everyone else; part of why we have such a successful free board is the proliferation of OT threads (take a look at the dead free board on 247 for comparison); once summer camp starts, yes, we rein it in; as silly and strange as some of these OT threads are, they do add value, sometimes crucial value (shout out to @RU848789: his information during the week prior to Superstorm Sandy allowed us to plan alternatives if we couldn't reach MSK in NYC in the middle of Tyler's chemo cycle) which other board members benefit from (although this delusional fixation on calling the most delectable of meats "pork roll"...); every year we always get threads like this bemoaning all of the OT threads; in fact, they're as predictable as Memorial day LoBro sales; and as can be seen by other responses in this thread, many long time members just roll their eyes when these threads pop up.
@RUChet I apologize if I've offended you, we (the moderating team) just found it strange that your introduction to the board was to start a thread like this.
Okay, this snuck in while I was typing the above:
That explains a lot. Obviously you are or were a premium member over on 247 as, as I mentioned above, the Free Board on 247 is totally dead.

That is so freekin great to hear.By the way, I'm attending that little rugrat's graduation in aerospace engineering this weekend down in Virginia: damn, time flies!
Fantastic and congrats! My dad was a mechanical/aerospace engineer who worked for RCA/GE from the mid-50s through the early 90s. He got to work on the early Keyhole spy satellites, numerous Apollo missions and MIRVs (multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles, i.e., nukes lol) among other things - his specialty was telemetry. The only negative was most of his career was spent on classified projects, so he could never tell us what he worked on, until that work was declassified, usually decades later - he really loved his work though - hopefully your son will have a successful and rewarding career.By the way, I'm attending that little rugrat's graduation in aerospace engineering this weekend down in Virginia: damn, time flies!
Wait, wait, wait. Don't complain? I think you've gone too far, lol. Miss @derleider - he was a good poster and a meteorologist, which was a bonus. As the legendary poster @derleider once said…we are the best one of them all out there.
And part of that is the OT content.
Don’t like it? Don’t post or don’t hang around.
But don’t complain.
