1. We now know that Pakistan was aiding and supplying the Taliban.
Why would we stop aiding and supplying the Afgan troops.
2. We abruptly stopped providing intel and air support to the Afgans
Again why do this, there is no reason I can think of.
3. We pulled out all of troops in the middle of night without informing our Nato or Afgan allies
Why was this done, I suspect it was to destroy the moral of the Afgan forces.
4. We left massive amounts of supplies and equipment on the ground violating every tenant of war known to every E-2
This isn't incompantence it is deliberate
5. We stopped paying and feeding the Afgans 7 months prior to this cluster
Again destroy the moral and fighting spirit of the Afgan forces
6. Every briefing given so far has given a time of weeks to a year before the Taliban would over run the country
If we knew the country was going to fall in a fairly short time why leave. We were able to keep the peace with a few thousand troops on station safely while maintaining a an extremely strategic air field capable of reaching hot spots in a few minutes especially Iran.
My conclusion is this wasn't incompantance it was deliberate and planned. Who does it benefit the most, Iran, China and Russia, all allies of the left. There is not a logical reason for any of our actions in fact if a cadet in one of the academies had drawn this out they would have gotten a F. Someone like me who has been to military war planning would have been laugh out of the room, same goes to the officer war college.
