Who wants to see what mooreheads team looks like in 2 years here? This year was gonna be rough anyway and yea the Tennessee and Kansas State losses are bad. Tutorgate isn't Joe's fault, Joe can't be blamed for Tommy getting hurt (which I can argue completely changed the season and Tommy as a whole) and Joe also can't catch the passes. Also Tommy Stevens I think was WAYYY to overhyped coming into the year. Looking at the future I see a lot of young guys on this team that can play and perhaps execute this offense better than Mullens recruits. I'd like to see moorehead and shrader continue for at least one more year. I don't think the scheme is the problem, it's worked and is working in other places(elements of it at least( see Brady@ LSU) I guess I'm still the only one left to pump the sunshine. All that being said if Joe can't beat the bears it's gonna be hard for him to survive.

I don’t think Kansas State was all that bad of a loss. They are pretty good this year.

Tennessee, yes, that one was bad.

You aren’t alone. I would like to see another year.

I seriously can’t fathom how anyone would actually want to see Joe Moorhead be our head coach another year? What else is there to see? More false starts on opening drives? Delay of games on the first play of the game? Coming out unprepared after bye weeks?

Nope. You are not. I think he is the guy due to his recruiting.

At the same time, he needs a better staff.

Are y’all seriously gonna let tonight make you wooly? I’m over here catching hell for pimping a coach who literally did something today that hasn’t been done since 1977, and you’re pimping Moorhead? Wow. Just wow. It’s abeline Christian and we looked like complete garbage.

I wanna see one more year personally. He might not be the right guy for the job but if we all voted I would say one more year. That being said if Cohen fires him after the EB and hired Hud or Napier I would start cheering for them. This year has been horrible. Freshmen playing all over, injuries, can't catch, can't block have the time. I'm pretty sure next year would be much better

I don’t think the scheme is the issue either. I think the guy teaching the scheme is the problem. Brady’s version of this hit the ground running right away. Of course, some of that is better talent but some of that is a better coach.

Come again? We had 20 thousand in attendance tonight. It took us literally a quarter to score on east central community college. And you want me to disassociate for being adamant that this asshat of a coach isn’t the right fit for MSU? Ok bro. Have fun Thursday night.

He may very well not be but but 17, you pissing in your pants guys don’t understand you’re hurting recruiting and that cannot be denied. If we lose the egg bowl, I’ll be ready for a change but it will only happen when Cohen/Keenun/cigar boys say “it’s time”...

It's definitely not the scheme. There are several versions of this all over the league scoring points. It could be the fact that we can't block , get open, or catch. I'm all for firing the O line coach. But I will leave that to Cohen and Joe. We definitely need to improve a lot

That’s what people said last year about the offense to this year and what people said about Moorhead getting his qb in. Moor excuses. Every time. What will it be next year when his offense still sucks.

Are you really comparing the talent level as equal?

Are you suggesting that it's the same?

Are you seriously trying to put all things equal and demand it's just coaching?

They have four 4* Wrs, two 4 * Te, and one 5* Wr.

Bama has that issue.... in fact are worse at it than us. What's the common denominator? lack of experience.

People just are not very smart if they think firing a coach after two seasons is a formula for success at Mississippi State, not to mention that he has won as many games as Mullen did in his last two seasons.

Your comparison is a DC? Assistant coaches turnover every year at every program. Try being (at best) the 5th best recruiter in your division while changing head coaches every two years. One of our strengths the last decade was our consistency at head coach while other programs were making changes. People wanted to fire Mullen in 2013. That was his 5th season. Now people are saying the same about Moorhead in Year 2.

I never advocated for firing Mullen. He improved to program from the first day. All Moorhead has done is brought the program down. The thing about trajectory is that it is very predictable. Moorhead is on a downward spiral. He is going down and there isn’t anything that’s going to make it going in the opposite direction based on the evidence and things that he has done to this point

Comparing Moorhead's first two years vs Mullen's is idiotic.

I was as ardent a Joe supporter as there was until UT. I don’t have the will to fight anymore and I think I’m as optimistic as they come, but Joe just doesn’t have it. We feel like a shell of a team. Do I think it’s as bad as one think? No. I don’t think that we’re currently setting the program back by decades but I think that it’s evident we need a change.

Mullen is the best coach in our program's history. Any coach that followed him and wasn't as good as the best in program history was going to disappoint the people on this board. That's how emotional, irrational fans operate. In his first two seasons Moorhead has won as many games as Mullen's last two seasons. I'm not saying Moorhead is as good as Mullen. I've already said Mullen is the best in program history. But people saying that Moorhead is undoing what Mullen built aren't looking at it objectively. And it is just naive to think that we can easily fire a head coach and hire a replacement that will win more games. If it were easy, you wouldn't be on this message board. You would be an Athletics Director somewhere.

Good post. That's my thoughts exactly. The last 10 years are the best this program has ever had. Mullen had a few 5 and 6 win seasons too

I guess you didn’t see the part where I said they have better talent. That does not excuse us looking like a 1A high school throwing our 1st pass of the season every time we call a pass play.

By the way, I believe Guidry was a 4 star and so was the guy from Nola who is now transferring (who was a Moorhead recruit).
