for all the teams according to Barry Alvarez. 8 games for the regular season and then each team plays the similarly ranked opponent from the other Division for the ninth game. That is: 1 vs. 1 for the B1G championship, 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3, etc. for the rest of the teams.

With the way this year has gone, I'll take 9 games over none any day of the week. I have no inside knowledge but it wouldn't shock me if they added another game midway through the season if things are going better than expected. We've seen schedules can be flexible when it's conference-only games. If the season is going well, I doubt they (the Big 10) would miss out on an opportunity to recoup a little of the money they've lost this year.
