You and ol' binsy in the cage duking it out over who can be the most bOtH SiDEz while pretending to not be mostly maga is going to be an enjoyable sight to see. It's like you guys will be....finishing each other's sentences.
I never interfaced with this Bins fellow, but from what you guys post about him, he must be one smart person. I read it's a sign of intelligence to be able to analyze things from more than one point of view. Kind of like a debate where they give you side of the issue you have to defend...

I don't even know what MAGA is, so I can't say I'm not one, but can't say that I am...

EDIT: is it possible to be MAGA and then be accused of being "both sides"...seems a little incongruous

here's what Ned thinks (you must have missed my previous post on this Korea thing)....Trump says and does some really stupid things. I really don't pay much attention to them, but I know a lot of you guys treat them as gospel. In this case, these exercises have been going on for years...the 25th Division out of Hawaii participated when I had an aviation unit with the 2nd Brigade. According to what I read, this year's goes on as planned, and DoD has been instructed to plan to descale, not eliminate them in the future. As long as the exercise focuses on integration of command and control, they'll be effective, even if scaled back. And, Trump will be gone in the near future.

One thing I haven't seen in all this angst is that S Korea's new government has been moving closer to the North and China. Now, in my mind, it's entirely possible that Trump's somewhat erratic behavior is driving them there, but I don't know that, and if the shift is permanent that could be a concern.

I try to come across as not being a died in the wool MAGA as some on here are. I like some of Trump's policies and don't like others. I'd bet a lot of you are the same way, but never admit it. I mean who could be against controlling the border, lower drug prescription prices, the Trump accounts (dumb name for them). In the same way, I liked some of Biden's and didn't like others. But, like I said in the past, I've probably been through these cycles more than most of you. I used to get more excited by the stupidity, duplicitousness and double dealing of our politicians but after working congress for about 13 years, I see things more as they are, and oftentimes they're not as they seem
Fair enough. I guess I hold the presidency to a higher standard than you. It appears there is 30% of the American people that puts their party over any sort of moral compass that they may possess. 🤷‍♂️

It's not a Presidency standard thing...I understand how the game is played, I've played it. These guys, President all the way down to a back bencher in the minority party, maybe with the exception of Massie and Rand Paul, play everything for the next election. They set up their votes, what they co sponsor or sponsor, which fundraisers they go to, what they will or won't do for their constituencies, everything, with an eye on what votes it will get them.

They'll say one thing for the media and do exactly the opposite, and when necessary they'll disavow everything they said previously (like Woke 1 was crazy).

Insofar as moral compass, most people vote for the person they think will benefit them the most, regardless of the capability of their candidate to deliver. Look at trump..."I'll end inflation on day 1" and to be bipartisan, Mamdani of "free busses"....I admit I've never thought of political support as a moral compass thing. So, maybe you're right
