So here's a question

UCONN was not in the tournament prior to their conference tournament run, I'm not even sure they would have been last 4 out. They won it, and got a 9 seed. So they jumped probably 10-15 teams. So clearly, that run was very beneficial. But we win ours and can't even jump one line? I know it's been discussed to death but it was just another angle I saw. So inexplicable.

Seems NCAA should cancel the tournament for power conferences. It is not useful and teams have less interested in it.
All small conferences need the tournament to get in the big dance.

Because most Conferences give the Conference Tourney winner an Automatic Bid,they just flat out screwed Kentucky

Conferences don't want to do that, tourneys are money for them.

My solution is expand ncaa by 12 teams to 80; you win reg season or Conf tourney and you get an invite; you win both and you get an opening round bye with the top seeds taking the other opening round byes. To prevent small Conf teams from colluding by not trying to win both, you increase the ncaa revenue pot for those who got in by winning both.

I'd love for Cal to threaten the SEC and say, "Look, if you're not going to fight for us as a conference, then why should we play? Well just lay down on Friday and see what happens when your cash cow is gone for two days."

Just like everything else, there is no consistent target except the committee members' agendas.

Head to Head didn't matter for us against Duke or A&M, did for Cal and Utah
OOC schedule cost S Carolina a bid, but didn't earn one for Monmouth
Conference tourney got UConn a huge boost, not for UK or Michigan St
Cheating hurt Louisville and SMU, not so much for UNC
