Was saying the same thing tonight, that he's the only player on our team and the teams we play who slips so much. It's when he goes laterally, so whatever the grips are don't work for a bball player who cuts the way he does.

How the hell does Corey slip so many times tonight and in another couple of games. Time to throw out those sneakers.

Didn't see that you already had a thread on this.

It looked like his shoes were either soulless or he hit wet spots repeatedly when he was on O.
How many slips did he have or was he just playing out of control?

I was hoping for a Corey 3.0 on the 30+ side.... but that didn't happen.

Here's to beating tOSU / finishing strong by returning the favor to Illini.

Weird.

And it's happened in other games.

Got to watch the game today. First thing I noticed and I was yelling to change the damn shoes in the first three minutes of the game. A number of turnovers and bad offense moves caused by the shoes . Really frustrating as team battled back into contention and Corey did not give us what we needed to mount a full comeback. Surprised a coach or trainer did not attempt to correct the problem. I cannot believe only one pair of shoes were brought to the game.

I think that the issue was in fact brought up on the bench...but I can only speculate that CS just didn't have another pair with him.

That's just a guess though based on what I saw or could make out of the conversation on the bench

After seeing the baseball uniforms Adidas gave us I'm not surprised by Corey constantly slipping and our equipment managers not having an alternative pair handy for whatever reason.

My speculation is that he keeps pulling out completely brand new sneakers every game rather than at least scuffing them up a bit.

Wasn't able to watch the game, but isn't this the 2nd or 3rd time this has happened to Corey?
Yes. As the Op stated this isn’t the first time. It happened in at least one other game and both times Corey looked liked he was on skates and totally ineffective which cost us dearly. We have enough to deal with overcoming our overall shooting every night and we do need this added headache

Actually still here in NJ...not making it out to Columbus.

Started a new job which requires my presence for a while. Don't worry though, I have a written excuse from Coach Pikiell

adidas makes some of my favorite sneakers, the Crazy Explosive line. Not sure what kind they give the team though.

I'm a fan of the Dame 4 myself. Much of the team wears them currently

The shoe that CS is having an issue with is the Crazy Explosive

Wow, awesome information. Obviously Corey's moving way quicker than anybody I play with but I've heard only good things from others who wear the Crazy Explosives too.

Since this has happened more than once, Corey should bring a cobbler with him for remaining games...
as well as his full ensemble of basketball fine fashion footwear.

did you see the "brown work boot" version that Carsen Edwards of Purdue was wearing. (unless those WERE work boots lol)..then again the way he played...maybe we should have the entire team get those.

It goes “Your family, your religion, and Rutgers Basketball” not “New job, your family, your religion and Rutgers Basketball”. Disappointing.
