Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but the holder for SMU is Sean Tuohy, Jr. If that name sounds familiar, he was portrayed in the movie The Blind Side as the little brother of Michael Oher.
To be fair Hicks hasn't had the ball for more than 3 seconds except maybe 2-3 times. They're running a lot of 3 step drops with him. SMUs line has been pretty good at picking up the extra blitzer and they are sliding well as a unit. Dalton Parks has put SMU in negative field position pretty much every time he has punted.
Still, we have 100 guys on the sideline tonight. Can we not find someone who can put the damn ball in the endzone on a KO?
Waste a Timeout to avoid delay penalty, then attempt 50+ yard field goal, only to have it blocked and put them in great field position. Monty is a good coach, but still makes some rookie mistakes.
Great pass. When you wonder why the officials call things against Tulsa, Atkinson dropping the ball at the feet of the official instead of handing it to him has a little bit to do with it. Better discipline. It's the little things that win games.
Knowing Atkinson he probably would have done it as a joke that the ref was in on. He's one of the nicest guys I've ever seen. Always smiling, but not someone who's full of himself.
That was not a roughing the passer, but that was a late hit on Suits. At least we're smacking people.
