At least put Smothers in the second half and let’s what he has.. What is there to lose besides being 2-6..

There may be differences, but I think they probably retained the "throw an accurate ball to the open guy" aspect that is present in every passing offense. At least in theory.
Yes, bad injury to his ribs. I don't know if he's fully recovered but that would be my guess.
It was pretty gruesome. Like seven broken ribs and a collapsed lung. But I think he came back and played in an All-Star game after that didn’t he?

Exactly. We will go no where with Adrian or Luke. They are terribly inaccurate. I’m sure they’re great kids and I hope nothing but the best for them. Maybe they can get into the offense in other ways, but if not, good luck to them. Just not sure Frosty will do anything or maybe he’s sees something that everyone else in the world is missing.
Oh well, throw him in there and let’s see what he can do. We literally have nothing to lose. Or we can watch Adrian miss or not even throw it to wide open receivers time after time.
I have no issue with starting Smothers this Friday I have advocated for playing time for him.for weeks. Time to see what we have. Past time really

You are correct. It’s a culture problem. Frost is weak. He’s in over his head. He’s a better Offensive Coordinator than HC. There’s no discipline. Some players get away with whatever they want due to some, not all, weak position coaches. It all stems from the pressure to win and the fear that holding players accountable will hurt their chances of winning. There are certain coordinators that need to go. We’ll see if HCSF has the balls to make the move. If not, he’s gone in two years as we will not see much improvement.

I used to think he had the best job of all time. I don't think that anymore. He preaches culture. Generally speaking, the stars are the ones that cause problems. Not always, but most of the time. Tough part is, if you bench those stars every time they mess up, they'll get pissed and transfer because they know those same standards aren't held everywherre. If you let those stars slide, they know they can get away with it, and you piss off other players who hold themselves to those standards, and most of the team. Tough to win ball games with a team full of nice guys. I'm assuming that's why the player led/winning culture of TO worked so well. TO never had to deal with it. He had older, winning players do it for him. It's in Frost's hands to toe that line because his older players haven't won enough and they aren't good enough to scare any young bucks from doing wrong. Tough job.
For what it's worth, if I were in his shoes, I'm laying down the law from day 1, no catering, and if kids don't like it or act out, get the **** out. The world is too soft, see ya.
IDK, I looked at his HS tape (on Rivals) a few months ago and thought he had a good arm and accurate deep ball.
Smothers is not playing because he isn’t ready to play, maybe next year, but he isn’t an upgrade from AM
Yet again we have guys not understanding the logic behind the action of our staff pertaining to the QB scenario. Logan could’ve played the entire season but if he had then what happens to both Luke & Adrian? Coach Frost has shown over the previous 2 seasons he is going with Adrian no matter what and is supporting him through his time then he will be the same with Smothers. #bank
Feeling from folks I get that’s considered as close to being in the know as possible or at least they think they are have said since Fall camp we wouldn’t hear anything about Smothers due to the fact of keeping the other 2 guys staying IN. That they will even keep Smothers from out of talks come spring just for that reason. Time will be our best resource !
Not true. He gave Luke every opportunity to take the job, but he is not much better than Martinez. There is work to be done
