This Murphy JV team has a talented skill group and more raw talent than the last two Murphy JV teams that won conference in my opinion, but they're going to have to get much better upfront for it to translate at the varsity level. I didn't see the Swain game but to hold them scoreless is a positive sign.

Correction.
Cherokee and Andrews are out.
Hayesville has a long shot but they need Robbinsville,Murphy. and Swain to drop a game.

If Robbinsville Swain and Murphy all win it's a 3 way tie. If Robbinsville loses to Hayesville then Murphy wins the tie breaker with Swain. If Swain loses to Cherokee then Robbinsville wins the tie breaker with Murphy.

At Hayesville we usually only get groups that has lineman or skill people, this group has both. They have 2 losses so far, a 2 point game at Murphy and a triple OT loss to Swain.
You are in great shape for the future and you still have a young HS team. Having a conference that’s competitive from top to bottom makes it better for all

This is the best Hayesville JV team in a while, the McTaggart and McClure JV team had a good bit more skill but this one is a more complete team.

With that said I gotta disagree on Hayesville varsity being young, Hayesville's impact players on varsity are seniors outside of McClure. This was the year Hayesville varsity had been building for the last couple of seasons, they will take a step back next year but should be on the upswing again in 2024.

I agree with that but they have a lot of underclassman who have gotten extensive game time experience and couple that with this group of JV’s they could be in the hunt like you say by 2024

Hayesville is an old/young team. Their core of skill players (QB, TE and a RB/WR) are seniors, but their backups are all sophomores. They will also lose 2-3 linemen that are starters on one line of the other. They will have a lot of experience to replace next year.
