Someone was claiming Slice and Mullen are best friends.

If he went there then he'd probaby deliver Diallo, who has said he wanted more than 20 minutes a game. He could write his own ticket at St. John's,

This just doesn't make sense. Going from assistant at Kentucky to assistant at St. John's?

And as an assistant to a HOF coach to a guy who has never coached. I like Mullin, really rooting for him at St. Johns. But this move doesn't make any sense.

He'll be wanting to come back in 3 to 4 years when Mullin is fired .

Slice does the picking, they don't pick. Someone said, slice said "I'm organized like crime" lol! I swear he reminds almost of Paulie in the early rocky movies(not the garbage ones). There's a reason why nobody knows what mob ties he has. I mean it only makes sense right? Cal is itallian, maybe that's the connection. I hope Rex chapman didn't borrow that guys Twitter account or somebody will be sleepin with the fishes!

Just so you know I'm joking, this is where I put the disclaimer.

According to St Johns fans who started this rumor..Slice wouldnt turn Mullins down to be his recruiting asst..cause they used to play together I believe at Xavier? But I dont see him taking such a paycut imo but we will see..but I know some st johns fans believe he only leaves UK if Cal moves onto NBA

That would be a great coaching move. Moving from assistant at UK to be assistant at St. Johns. Logical, really.

Chris Mullins played for St. John's. Played for Xavarian high school in New York. That may be what you're thinking.

wouldn't be to terrible a loss, Slice is a hilarious guy but he hasn't added anything on the recruiting trail. Before you say Isiah Brisoce do you really think Cal needed help signing the top PG in a class? This would also allow Cal to add Tony Barbee to the real staff with KP and Robic.

The move for Slice would probably be to be the top assistant under Mullin. That would not make it a lateral move.

Slice has been good for us since he's been here. I hope he's willing to extend his time in Lexington.

Payne is the one guy that might hurt losing. There are still jobs to be filled, but Payne should be able to get a D-1 higher level job in a year or 2.

Let's get past the clutter one more weekend.

Nothing behind it, as least as far it it goes from Slices end of it. Reminds me of when I was wanting to date Raquel Welch. I wanted too, but from her end not so much.

Slice is at the top of college basketball. He knows it. Mullins may want Slice like I wanted Welch. It was never going to happen then, wont happen now.

I supposse it wouldnt matter all that much we already had got players in they NYC/NJ area

DLamb
Dakari
Towns
Briscoe and were in deep with Diallo before Slice. Think the last time it truly mattered to have a good recruiting assistant was during OTS time when every measure was desperately needed.

Never underestimate the attraction of "going home". If he and Mullins are as tight as has been stated, it would almost be a no-brainer. I hope he stays but, would support him no matter what he decides. Good guy.

can't see him leaving to be an asst for a guy who has never held any kind of coaching job. it doesn't make sense. of course hiring mullen in the first place doesn't make sense.
