Elijah Cabness banked a baseline runner off the glass with about 2 seconds remaining, and the Skyline Hawks escaped with a 58-57 home win over Broadway on Tuesday night.
The lead changed back and forth all night with Skyline leading 11-8 at the end of the first quarter, but trailing 24-19 at the half. They went up 42-34 after three quarters, but then had to score the last six points to win after trailing 57-52 with under a minute to play.
Zack Diggs was the leading scorer for the Hawks with 14 points. Ethan Caperton had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Elias Carter had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Cabness finished with 9 points.
