What the hell is morgusky talking about? I mean seriously, what the hell are you talking about? What is triggered? You reacted more emotionally than anyone here. Did your nursing friend tell you that in their books they have a chart that says Haitians are bad at basketball?

Well I didn't start it. Haitians by a vast majority are usually not good at basketball. Then the sensitive types pour in to be the white knight and "white goodmans" using it as a means to justify faux outrage and calling me all sorts of things.

Triggered seemed appropriate. After a while I just had some fun with it.

Are you still pretending to be in the medical field while not knowing what's in simple nursing texbooks?

Faux Outrage? You are the only idiot here that is acting outrageous. Everyone else is trying to keep the board clean and on topic. You brought race into a discussion where it has no place. And yes I would say the same thing if you said the same thing regarding Australians, Canadians, or any other "White" nation. You are a raciest and you have outed yourself.

It doesn't matter if not a single decent player has come from a country or not, their nationality has nothing to do with their ability to play the game of Basketball.

Coaching, physical ability, skill and a million other factors come into play, but Not nationality. In fact I wouldn't even know how nationality would factor in. Like I said earlier, you are shameful and should be banned from this forum, not sure how you've lasted this long. You are a stain on this board.
<

And here we have a case of faux outrage and completely going overboard. The reason I'm not banned over these comments is the same reason the thread still exist. The mods are just smarter than you.

There's a pattern of Haitians underperforming in the NBA. I wasn't suprised when Skal wasn't as advertised. Most NBA players have African heritage. Obviously, blacks play basketball quite well. So your racism charge is just a glimpse into your IQ level. Try thinking slowly.

Your type needs to seriously get a grip.

Black people say it all the time. If you're the trained sensitive type, then you know that, for example, the phrase "sneaky athletic" has historically been a code for "white guy who surprisingly can jump" in the same way that if someone's first word about a black person is "articulate", it connotes a deviation from the expected.

I don't agree with anybody in this thread.
I abhor Trump and think he's the furthest thing from presidential when you look at how he talks.

But there was a national epidemic of men lying to their wives and female coworkers last week about what does and doesn't get said in locker rooms - "Why, I never!". Yes, you have. You might not have said it, but you've heard it. Just stop lying. Whichever 4 former pro players told Tyler Thompson that they've never heard that kind of talk in a locker need to stop treating her like a 4 year old. It's like telling her that Santa exists.

This same kind of pearl -clutching behavior has existed for centuries. It's just that sjws are the new dominant puritans in our country, whereas in the 90s and before, it was the conservative Christians who were trying to shame everybody into holding their tongues. And in middle Eastern countries, it's obviously the Muslims who retain control over the dialogue.

Everybody has a grody friend who makes female genital references and expresses a desire to fondle megan fox or whoever. Hell, most females have a friend who could easily spout the phrase "I want to grab that guy by the **** and take him home" if she was having a good night at a bar.

I think the Haitian comment was silly, but he's absolutely right that if you said it about a Latvian, nobody would care. That tells me that some component of the response is arbitrary and contingent on environmental factors.

Clutch, clutch, clutch.

I agree with most of this, but you and I both know there's nothing silly about observing patterns with NBA players and saying there's a trend of players from "X" country underperforming. I mean really, how is that silly?

Some people just need to create a firestorm over nothing. It's that simple.

I think some UK fans want Skal to fail in order to solidify their opinion.

If they watch the game and Skal is having a great game, do the same people say "yeah, that's a UK boy"?

I'm guessing no.

I was the first person on this board to say Skal wasn't as advertised. I know both of his handlers and that included Hamilton until he turned into an A hole. I know the coach that worked with him daily in Memphis. Everything I was hearing was Skal isn't what the ranking shows. When I expressed it to this board, I was told I'm being lied to because Memphis was butt hurt. There's even guys here who remember this well.

He played at uk. I'm for any players making our image better. There's no real UK FAN that would like to see him fail. On top of it he comes from a poverty stricken nation. Come on.

You may be correct about how long he stays in the league, but that is a terrible take. Nationality has nothing to do with how long a player stays in the league or whether he has "IT" or not... Shameful.

Actually, it does. There have been only two Haitians in the league. Nothing shameful or terrible about bringing it up.

I find the responses in this thread amusing...personally, I think Haitians really don't give a crap what we think about their basketball skills...they are busy digging up bodies right now. If you feel better about yourself by defending them on a message board - maybe you should look into donating some of your parents hard earned cash to a good cause? If you really want to help them - don't donate to the Clinton foundation though...I hear only a small percent actually goes to helping Haitians...but not trying to make this political.

Well, a fair sum goes to the Killery's brother, and the rest to contractors who donate to Killary and back to 'foundation'. Give to a Haitian fund at your church that builds wells.

[laughing] Nice try. Thanks for setting everyone straight that the Caribbean island of Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the world, isn't historically a basketball power though, was very necessary and not completely out of left field at all. You certainly didn't bring that up unprovoked or start that conversation AT ALL. [laughing]

Also never in a million years did I even hint at being in the medical field, you must be confused with all of your bored arguments you start on here to keep up, do love how your made up chart has now turned into multiple "simple nursing textbooks" though. Hopefully tomorrow when you are changing the lives of all the black youth you work with you guys can talk about the history of Haiti.

Do I seriously need to just post the chart? I mean, it's not something I really want to mess with but it can be done.

Haiti has produced 20 something NBA players. None of them have amounted to much. Your welcome explaining it.

And you stated at one time that you were a doctor. Keep up with your lies.

I absolutely did not, you are completely making that up wtf are you talking about [laughing]

Thanks for letting me know that Haiti isn't a basketball superpower, again lots of people were arguing that so thanks for being the voice of reason. You'd figure a 3rd world Caribbean island would be so thanks for putting those people who were saying it in their place. Sure, go ahead and post the chart.

Haiti has never produced an Nba player that lived up to the hype. Not interested in your "superpower" hyperbole.
I'll post the chart for you in this thread so I don't have to hear your nonsense about it anymore. It's not my fault you're a SJW who doesn't understand a thing about culture in America.

It's because you have a small sample size and no causal explanation - there's not much to work with there. It doesn't offend me, but I just don't think the case is compelling. With Japanese guys, for example, you have a non existent sample size, but right from the start you can observe that their average male is probably 5'5 and a buck 30, and you see why they might have problems sticking in the NBA, even if they could succeed at the college level.

Hey buddy I don't know why you're getting all pissy with me I was thanking you for putting all the "Haiti has produced great basketball players" people in their place. Remember, you weren't the one that started it, so obviously you were just letting all the people that were already talking about how great Haitian NBA players were that they were wrong. And I have no idea what a SJW is but I'm assuming it's some stupid democrat vs republican garbage thing that all you crazy political people argue about.

Also go ahead and post the chart and I'll leave you alone, well that or when the clock hits 9 and I have to start getting ready for the night :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

small yes, but still. Of what I researched is correct, there's been over 20 Haitian players drafted and almost none of them have lived up to the pick. The only one I could find was Samuel Dalembert and I don't know where he was drafted.

It's not a great sample size but it's enough to see Haitian basketball players haven't produced in the NBA when drafted.

And just this year we've got a top rated collegiate athlete from Haiti that was a college bust, and now it appears ( still too early) that he's following the same pattern as the former.

I agree with you about the sample size but it's my opinion that Haitian basketball players in the NBA should be considered somewhat risky at this point. That's what I was getting at. The best player that's even stepped foot there and considered a Haitian prospect isn't even Haitian.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, I just don't think looking at it in that manner is silly.

SJW is just a term for people who get outraged at the slightest reality dealing with anyone not white.

I'll wait a few months and pick out a nation that's mainly white that hasn't produced to standards for basketball players. Don't respond to it. Just look for it, no one will be outraged. You'll understand SJW's then.

I think Skals gonna be a hang around for a while. I don't see him making it in be NBA past his contract. Maybe something extends but it won't be a big deal for much. He's a Haitian. This is typical. He just doesn't have it.

For all your "Faux Outrage" "SJW" and "I didn't start it" BS... Here is you starting it. You are the one who brought up race. Nobody else brought it up, you did. There is no reason to even touch the subject of race, but you went there first.

Welcome to the ignore list.

Morgousky your a moron. Having adopted three kids from Haiti and being very familiar with the country Haitians tend to be extremely athletic they are just not exposed to basketball at a young age. Nerlens was a pretty good player from Haiti. My kids are all very athletic and one could have a future in division one basketball. Your way off base and don't have a clue. Just keep your mouth shut about stuff you nothing about.

Whys everyone getting worked up about a guy saying he thinks (according to his data) Haitians aren't good at basketball. I didn't read he said they were a horrible people or they weren't athletic. Just not good at basketball. @ohios#1ukfan could be exactly right. They weren't exposed to the sport as some are.
It seems to be an unpopular opinion but I can't be mad at him for it. I just didn't read into it as hate or racism.

Well I stopped reading at the first sentence. Learn proper English and the difference in "your" and "you're" and maybe I'll listen. Nothing I said was in the slightest way racist.

To date there have been zero players drafted from Haiti that lived up to their pick that I can't find. There's nothing wrong with pointing out the obvious. Another sensitive Janice to the ignore list.

I just can't find a true Haitian that lived up to the pick. It's a nation, not a racial thing. Same goes for any other country that produces busts.
