I know there are several tennis players on the board and there's been talk from time to time about having a SixPack tennis event. Well, now is the time. The first ever SixPack Tennis Open will be held this Sunday (Aug. 2) at 4:30 at either Parham Bridges or at Ridgeland Tennis Center. The rules are pretty simple:

1. If you sign up to play, you have to show up. If you don't show up you're going to leave 3 other guys waiting around with no 4th player to play with. Don't be that guy. If you do sign up and don't show up, you will be publicly branded as an ******* on the board on Monday morning and barred from any future events.

2. In case of rain during the day Sunday, if the courts are playable by 4:30, we will play. Don't assume we're not playing unless you get confirmation from me or call the tennis facility yourself and they tell you the courts aren't playable. If we do get rained out, we'll reschedule for the following Sunday afternoon.

3. To sign up, send me a PM with your real name, cell phone number (so I can text you if we do have to cancel because of weather), and USTA rating along with an indication of whether you're high or low in that rating range (i.e. I am a low 3.5 player) or a general evaluation of your tennis playing ability if you're not rated.

4. We'll try to assign courts to get the best matchups (and have the most fun) possible.
