Six man enrollment question

Looking at the six man enrollment figures and it shows several schools have over the 27 enrollment number. Does anyone know how they are eligible for playoffs with higher enrollment?

Should be a very competitive class this year, but when one school has 8 and one has 47, that's a huge gap. I'm curious what the rule is on that.

The NSAA didn't sponsor 6 man last year, so there was no set enrollment number. That being the case, all of the schools that played 6 man last year that are over the new enrollment number of 27 are within the 1 classification waiver period. If they are over 27 (or whatever the new enrollment number is) in 2019 they will be ineligible. The reason Humphrey/LHF and McPherson County/Stapleton are ineligible is because they didn't play 6 man last year, so they are not eligible for the 1 classification waiver period.
