Absolutely! If anybody cares, they should go and rewatch the games last year and they will see - SO MANY WRs who would have gone for TDs but the ball was not even thrown their way.
Thank God I also seen that on a few plays ,always bleming OL and WRs imo line didn't play bad and only giving up 9 sacks in any league is great.Whats going to be his excuse this year to big cant see over them . Art is not a very good QB why isn't he a team captain hes the team leader I know what tells me No way this kid is going to overcome whats coming his way , support from teamates and fans,.biggest saving Ash and just his play on the field.wish him luck on a lower level

Totally wrong as usual. You and and your agenda are endless. Art was the worst QB in college football and has shown zero signs of improvement over the spring. That is why the staff scoured the country in search of a grad transfer QB and signed Carter as fast as they could to save the season. If that isn’t getting into your brain there something very wrong with you. If the staff starts the worst QB in the country who has show zero signs of improvement over the spring then should be immediately fired-

Cárter is hurt and hasn’t played since December. He only got the playbook in June, and while he is picking up things nicely, it’s going to take some time to be comfortable.

Arthur was bad last year, but also was thrust into a bad situation. This year should be much better, since there is better talent across the board. Another thing is Artur took a leadership during Winter, according to Blackshear, Which helped develop chemistry and create bonds.
Artur played much better and looked more confident this spring.

It’s hard to see the field when the pass protection is breaking down. This is why he missed opportunities. He’s spent a ton of time in the film room this offseason, so he should be much better at reading defenses and spotting open receivers.

Art played well in some games last season Wisconsin, Indiana, Texas State come to mind. He also had some clunkers. It didn't help that the defense stunk last year and RU was down early in a lot of games.

The play on the video was a horrible throw but not a bad decision.
His hopping in a clean pocket still baffles me

I give him some leeway as he really has very little QB experience at all of standing in a pocket and being a true QB.
And with so much less experience then most QBs have in HS, he was thrown into the toughest conference in college football with expectations to be the savior.
There can only be upside...

You really didn'tnexpect to tone down the hate did you? I have no expectations for this year other than watching the games, rooting for RU, and hoping for a competitive team.
I don't believe its hate its more like disappointment

You (not you per se) cannot spin away 16 sacks. That's a really really low number. No amount of "throwing away" or whatever reason given can explain 16 sacks given up by a supposedly "bad OL".

Trying to come up with a reason or a reasonable explanation for the ineptitude of the offense last year reminds me of Occam's Razor. In the end, it's really very simple - we had terrible QB play. That's it. We had horrible QB play last year. It was like Gary Nova against Kent State - only it's for the entire year. It was bad at an epic level. Our QB play last year was as bad as our OL was in 2010 when we gave up 61 sacks. Epic bad.

Hopefully it doesn't take our coaches more than 1 season to figure out what IMG coaches figured out in only a few games. Otherwise it will be a loooong season again and BlockR will get his wish.
Does Ash have a phone to call IMG coach and check out the issues also high school coach had a lot of passing issues Old Bridge. Still cant figure out how he got here. Are we this hard up for a QB I think Simon may be the answer next year

Art hasn’t played much better at all - that is why the staff went out and got Carter. Carter is studying hard and watching film. He is doing doing well and creating chemistry and bonds with his teammates who are very happy he is there

If Carter is better, he’ll play...maybe.
I’ve spoken directly to staff members who told me Flacco was by far our best play maker at the QB position, and he was told he’s not in the mix...that’s why he transferred, so who knows!!!

I think the best QB on the team today is Cole Snyder........... JMHO. I dare anyone to look for an AS highlight, at RU, at IMG, or even at Old Bridge, better than this throw .......

Yikes, he looked off the first receiver and threw to the sideline while Art stares at the WR and completely ignores a stationary LB. You may be on to something.

Who made that decision? McNulty, Ash or both? I would like to know who to direct my frustration at.

In a vacuum, it's not an issue. But given that he threw 18 INT's last year, and got pulled so he wouldn't break the single season INT record, it's a huge concern.
I think this goes both ways.

You are right, given last year, a play like this makes one think "more of the same"

Conversely, given how bad he was last year it maybe taints a not terrible throw.

And look, was he awful last year, absolutely, but he was also a true freshman who a desperate coach threw out there in an attempt to grow a recruiting tool. He should have never been anywhere near 18 picks because a coach with his head on straight would never let a young QB get anywhere near that.

Flacco looked that way in the spring game and it seemed obvious to me but what do I know. Very sad. Hopefully they make a better choice this time.

I respectfully disagree. Maybe I am not seeing it correctly.
1. Staring down the receiver. Linebacker seemed to read it perfectly.
2. Did not even head fake to another receiver.
3. Terrible touch on the ball.

Not an expert on QB mechanics, but don't recall a QB who dances around as much as Art in the pocket with feet and lower legs.

Why are we comparing Sit's to a #1 overall pick, and a future #1 overall pick?

No one is saying he is that.

Goes to my point about Ash being desperate to find a QB he can hitch his recruiting wagon to. It's why we saw Oden as a Freshman. It's why we saw Lewis as a Freshman, and it's why we saw Sit's last year.

I think he has put a faulty long term plan ahead of short term results and the team has struggled mightily as a consequence.
