Who was saying Sit is better than Verdral last year?

And on more plays than any game with any RU QB last year, Verdral didn't have to make his own space.
I'm not talking about last year! Where did I say that?? I'm talking about the blind Sitkowski supporters this summer

Again is Sit better than Verdral? That is what I'm talking about. Verdal makes his own space too
Since this is Sit's third year at Rutgers, he can read the handwriting on the wall. Despite the negative posts above, he can find a team that will give him playing time he is seeking.

Didn't the OC have something to do with him getting all that space?
This is what a real OC is supposed to be...I hadn't seen what a OC should be in the past 9-10 years at RU...we're damn lucky to have Gleeson. I'm very interested to see how we progress thru the season
Me too. Love Gleason! And Sit doesn't have the legs for this system. He went into the portal which I have zero issues with. He didn't get any bites so he returned. Credit Schiano for that. But...

Didn’t Sit helm a triple option team or something like that at Old Bridge?
And?? That was many years ago. He isn't the same QB anymore. Love that the Sit defenders ignore his benching at IMG

Geese he did not quit he just wanted two more
Full years but made himself available in case some one quit. And GS took him back
Knowing he did not fit the new system. Why?7

Maybe to sit his quitting *** on the bench for the rest of his years?

Oh and yeah, he quit.

Greg brought him in to Sit *** on the bench?
That is smart.
Do you remember when the acting head coach
Replaced Sit in order to play his buddy from
From high school? I do and I respect Sit for
Having the balls to do what he felt he had to do.
By the way his buddy was dropped by two
Teams.

Didn't we have a QB that everyone thought was the future? And then he got concussion and is done.
You need good backups to win since QBs can go down on any play. Look what happened to Dak. Cowboys are done now.

SIT PLAYED for one of the worst coaches and team under bad circumstances. SHOWED a lot of
Improvement. But still loves Rutgers.
Why all the hate for him,
I have zero hate for him. I hate the clowns that think is the best QB on the team for the last two seasons and this year. I have no idea besides he is from NJ why people think he is great. Clueless

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but Vedral has no arm. He did a decent job today, but he is just a stopgap at this point. Art will get his chances this year.
It’s not always about “arm strength “. Sometime you need a little touch and the ability to run. Vedral did fine and I expect Sitkowski will see some action this season but Vedral is the QB for next week anyway,

Why did GS bring Sit in and not tell
Him he was bringing in a system he is not a fit
For.

You’re kidding right? It’s Greg’s job to equip the team with as much talent as he can. Once they’re here each guy competes for playing time. Vedral must have outplayed Sit in camp and practice, therefore he got the starting nod. It’s not Greg’s job to encourage the kid to leave.

He did not encourage him to leave because he was in the portal.
Vedra had the job from day why do think
He came here.

Your rationale makes no sense. If Vedral had the job and Sit knew he was QB2 then why not transfer?

P.S. when Art can run he can lead this offense. We can’t have a statue back there and be successful in our new scheme.

@Richard Schnyderite can we lock this thread? It has become a bash fest that is attacking a Rutgers player who didn’t even play today.
Grow up. Cry baby. No one is bashing Art. He simply not the QB of the future. Happens in every sport. If he wasn't a NJ kid you wouldn't give a rats *** about him. The success of RU football is having the best players on the field no matter what state they are from.

I'm hoping for the day when we have a good enough OL that our QB CAN be a statue all day

Being a winning quarterback isn't about just having a big arm. Accuracy, touch, avoiding too many mistakes, feeling pressure, legs to extend plays. I saw enough from Vedral that we can win college football games with him. He is the Number 1 until someone can unseat him and right now I don't see that happening. Art is a statue, doesn't feel pressure or throw on the run or extend plays with his legs.

He has 2 years left. But he will probably
Transfer again
.

Hes got 3. This year won’t count. Hed be insane not to stay next season and worst case leave as a grad transfer with immediate eligibility.

Art barely played against high level competition in high school and has had 3 different OCs. A year as the #2 with OC continuity would help his development immensely.

Thats ********. He gets 4 years of eligibility. He burned one in a season when he wasn’t ready. Why burn the second on a season we all wrote off? He chose us over Miami. He dressed and stood ready to come in if needed. And when there was a coaching change he reaffirmed his commitment to Rutgers.

I’m rooting for Art. I hope he lights it up when his chance comes - and it will.

He'll do whatever is in his best interest with no concern for his teammates, coaches or school.

FFS, do you actually know much of anything? The position most impacted by a coaching changes is the QB. Everyone understands that. Every guy on the sideline understands theyre doing this for a shot at the next level. He’s clearly all in and we’re lucky to have him.

Not in the wrong system. But Greg should
Not have taken him if he knew he was
Changing the sysrem.
1. As stated before, Gleeson's system changes according to personnel,
2. Sit shouldve done research in seeing that this was not going to be the same old same old as was the last two years and made the decision for himself. Like the decision he made last year to quit on Rutgers as the starting QB.

Arts not a statue at all. He’s not Lamar Jackson, but he’s got enough mobility to make you respect his ability to burn you for 10-20 yards on a scramble.
