Exactly. Stick to the plan. That is what every team should do. It will help keep the pitchers minds settled as well.

On another note, USM “should” beat FSU right? I mean, if our backup 2B could’ve cleanly fielded a routine pop-up, we would’ve been the 16th regional host.
I will say this. No disrespect to Ole Miss, but our chances of making it to Omaha are better as a 2 seed in Oxford than hosting as the 16 and being matched up with Arky.

They are expected to throw Diamond, FYI. Which I think is probably the right move.
I actually like USM to take this Regional, and they may be more of an Omaha threat than people realize. Hitting is not great but their starting rotation is as good as anybody's in the country. They have four legitimately good starting pitchers. Stanley and Powell in particular are excellent.
