You really like cake donuts? I like them but man a hot Krispy Kreme is fantastic. In our area we’ve had an explosion of mom and pop donut stores and I love it. There is this friendly Asian family that opened up one in Gulf Breeze and they do a maple bacon, where the bacon is actually freshly cooked and topped. It is so good.

Krispy Kreme has spoiled me on other donuts.

I love the ones with chocolate icing, but if it's not also glazed, it's just not worth eating.

Just finished off an apple fritter from Scarlet’s. My absolute favorite. Not technically a donut, but it’s from a donut shop so...

DCD - ever tried the blueberry donut bread pudding at Blue Canoe in Tupelo? They use blueberry donuts from a local restaurant, Connies Chicken. The donuts and bread pudding are awesome.

Duck doughnuts in Hilton head island are hands down the best I’ve ever had. They were incredible.

Agree about the Chocolate Angel. The Cinnamon Apple Crumb is a close second.

Not a fan of cake donuts. Not that anyone cares when eating donuts, but they tend to be higher in calories.

OB Donuts is very good. I like the cake donuts a bit better (Blueberry and Red Velvet)

But my favorite donut is the old Entenmann's Chocolate covered donuts. They were so good. They change it to a smaller donut.
