Dan and FSU had a deal working a year or two ago. The Hat pulled some strings, Jimbo's offer was rescinded, Mullen stayed put. I don't like our odds a second time around.

I wouldn't make the move just because of the expectations here vs. Tallahassee. And if Jimbo is willing to jump ship at the first opportunity this soon in and this closely removed from a NC, there may be underlying issues down there. But if he goes he goes. We are a million times better off now than in 2008. Can't begrudge the guy.

And A&M is no world beater on D either. Everybody says they lead in sacks. Hard to sack a mobile QB who throws 90% of his throws on a 3 step drop.

Om has given up 6 sacks in the 3 games since the new savior took over.

Kentucky is 5th in sec in sacks. Ark is 14th in sec. ULL is 8th in sun belt.

We have given up 6 sacks all year. aTm has 2 of those.

Sometimes, you don’t know how crazy she is until you pound her muffin. FSU is unpounded muffin to Mullen right now. This is one of the few jobs I worry about Mullen leaving for. Hopefully the quality of life aspect of being our coach outweighs his desire for an easier route to a natty. That’s pretty much our only selling point versus them.

Yep, that would be a concern. Hi profile ACC or Big 10 job would be something he might be interested. If he did leave for FSU or other hi-profile ACC or Big 10, I for one would not be pissed. IF he went somewhere in the SEC I would.

But, with what he has and what is coming in, I still think he stays. Then in 4-5 years, who knows what job may be open including FSU.

These pretty much mirror my thoughts on the matter. If Mullen leaves for a job outside the conference that is one of the top 10-15 jobs in the country, I won't begrudge him. It would sting, obviously, but he would have left our program way better than he found it and we'd hire a great coach.
If he leaves for an SEC school, I will be bitter and petty.
As for LP1's question of why would Fisher leave, I'm not sure about that at all. But it seems he's wanted out for a couple of years, and after this season I don't think any tears will be shed in Tallahassee if he left (as ridiculous as that may be).

Didnt he get a divorce awhile back. Could want to get away from her. Although I think his son has a medical issue and needs special care so that might be a reason to stay close to the doctor.

Yeah. I think both of those could be an issue. His divorce was a little scandalous. Supposedly she cheated on him with Taylor Jacobs (from UF) and a dude on the FSU tennis team.
