What would help WVU climb in the rankings if it beats TCU handily on Saturday?
#5 Michigan losing to Rutgers? Even in Piscataway, not going to happen.
#7 Oklahoma losing to Oklahoma State? Even in Norman, in the Big 12 anything is possible, but I’m not holding my breath.
#8 Georgia losing to visiting 6-3 Auburn? Maybe, but again not holding my breath that losing in Athens will happen.
#3 LSU losing to Arkansas, #4 Notre Dame losing at home to Florida State, #2 Clemson losing to host Boston College? Only when pigs are flying in a Hell frozen over.
Oklahoma State and Auburn are WVU’ best, but slim, chances to climb in the playoff rankings.
First, of course, WVU needs to play against the Horny Frogs the way it did in the first half against Texas Tech and all game -- with a running game it finally cranked up against the Longhorns -- against a damned good Texas team at home before 101,000 rabid fans and a sound system cranked up and amplified so high that dogs in El Paso and Albuquerque were howling.
