Would you all say Sims is the worst quarterback in Nebraska history? I personally know it could get worse, because 2005 Season Beau Davis vs Texas Tech going 1 for 8 with 4 interceptions can still happen. Our memory is so short when things go bad, so it is always nice to be familiar with the past

Big difference… Bo Davis was a third string, back up….not your starter.

Zac Lee was pretty bad. So was Joe Dailey. Sims to me is Jammal Lord 2.0

Even though he wasn't even on scholarship it was amazing watching Andrew Bunch start who legit looked like a D3 QB at best

Whoa, partner! While I don’t know a thing about coaching football, I do know a lot of **** about ****. I give my wife a report on my dog’s **** after most morning walks, and believe me when I say that I now know good **** from bad. It’s good to have lots of free time in retirement to learn new things.
That's why I have my bowel movement spread sheet on my smartphone/

The fact that you even ask the question tells you that he isn’t a very good QB. He made a really bad Colorado defense look good. His lone passing TD was a fluke. Maybe he is the worst of all time, maybe he’s not. I don’t know. I don’t care. All I know is he’s bad.

Jamaal Lord put the team on his back. He made some mistakes that were huge at the time, because we previously had QB's that could cover their mistakes with the talents of other great players. He was far more efficient than any quarterback since save perhaps Zac Taylor. Thus, Lord does not compare to Sims on the stat sheet.

Sims reminds me of Lord to the point that both great running ability but both are liability’s in the passing game.

Two things.. Dogging Hall and Oates and the Doobie Brothers is a fast track to my Ignore Hopper. LOL

Seriously, I've seen all those groups 4 times in 4 states and I'd go see them again tomorrow even if they are a little long in the tongue.

You’ve seen Zeppelin live in concert 4 times? Awesome!

The coaches have seen Sims in practice since winter conditioning and have been pleased with his work. The sample size this season is 2 away games. It is very possible that his decision making in the pressure of a game can’t be corrected. Jay Moore said kids can do the right things in practice yet think they need to exceed that execution level in games, which can lead to mistakes. Haarberg showed the way forward. Play within yourself and make the plays that can be made.
I hope he figures it out bc I think two QBs that are ready to win is better than one, especially if one gets injured.

Lord was physical and elusive, but you're right both struggle in the passing game. I don't think Sims reads the defense well.

Tin foil hat moment: Does anyone else think that maybe his injury is at least exaggerated? Maybe it’s Rhule’s way of sidelining Sims without outright publicly stating it? Which in turn has really just created more drama and confusion.
Think Sims ‘injury’ was an opportunistic way for Rhule save face and give Husker Nation what they wanted (were demanding). See what happens going forward. Aka let’s see how bad he f*cks this up…

LOL. Man, I seen Elvis in Des Moines in the 70's, Michael Jackson in KC in 1974, I even seen Stevie Wonder in about 1970 when I lived in Virginia. He was still maybe a teenager or close to it.

Brian McKnight is a fairly big singer and we've been friends with him or 20 years, in fact, his grandson and my grandson are best friends and both are talented musicians at age 10.

When you're old lots of **** piles up over the years. I haven't lived a conventional life.

Oh yeah, old dudes… I saw Guns and Roses at the Roxy in LA before they released their first album. And U2 at red rocks when they film the famous Bloody Sunday video. Winking

sweet. I always loved November Rain by Axl. My son seen Bono in Boston, says he's about 5'2". (listed 5'6")

Compare the musical talent of our day with some of the no-talents today. Piss, I could be a rapper.

You and I could be SantaBarbaraEasy and set the rap world on fire, and I have zero talent other than writing
music and lyrics.

I forgot about Brian McKnight. “Anytime” was a drunk listen for me for a minute. When you mentioned him, I literally had to play it and right away it brought me back.

Man what happened to him? He was big time for a minute. Not going to lie, when I heard the album “is this it” by the strokes, I threw all my old CDs out (including McKnight) and said “this is the music I’ve been missing all my life” and was basically done forever with 90s music. Still label it the worst decade for music unless you dig deep in indie or are talking about hip hop. Best decade of all time for hip hop

Love the strokes, that was a refreshing change for the better.

well connected people don't name drop like this on message boards.. you somehow thinks it makes you look better, when the reality is, it exposes you for your pathetic schtick.

Personally, I think the backlash against Sims not only on this board, but everywhere else got the coaching staff's attention and influenced the change last week. Not saying they read this board, but the consensus among fans is the same regardless of where you get the pulse at.

I think HH performance, and the continued fan support of him continues to influence things. Have to wait to see what happens this week, but if he trots out Sims this week, there will likely be boo birds and maybe more backlash.

I can see him easing Sims into a game late.. it will be interesting to see how coach Rhule deals with it.
If I was in charge HH would now start until I see an indication of why he shouldn't. It's entirely possible that in practice Sims looks better but perhaps he just doesn't handle game pressure very well. You have to play the guy that is playing better in games. Period.
