Just curious, when signing a kid like Martinez who had a nasty injury, do schools require a physical like the NFL before allowing them to sign an LOI?

I’m not to worried. Looked like he was moving around just fine in the UA all star game. He was considered the most accurate QB of all the QBs during the practices and looked fast when he took off with the ball.

There is no telling if he will become effective even if he had no injury.

His star rating could help the coaches recruit, if coaches make those kinds of pitches, so in a way Nebraska potentially has got some good service out of him already regardless of his injury.

No physical, but I assume that schools like Bama and OSU will change their mind and revoke the scholarship offer as they don't want to risk wasting a scholarship.

I think that Darlington had the issue when he was concussed. Most of his offers went away and he was very appreciative that Nebraska honored their offer.

I don't blame schools for it. Coaches have to field the best team or get fired, so their butts are on the line. Coaches have to take a risk sometimes.

Amazes me how, year after year, fans focus on the MessiahQB, only to be disappointed and then start to mock and criticise them.

The microscopic inspection at Nebraska is a huge turnoff

The reality is that there is only one good QB in college football according to his own team's fans. The one holding the national championship trophy at the end. All others will be called losers and have their weaknesses dissected until a new QB takes over the discussion.

If you don't accept this going in then go play intramurals, brother.
