That's an "On the Banks" /Aaron Breitman local article that just also went over the SB nation network via MSN.

I had to stop at the first articles Ron Harper mention... MAN... is it just me or has he improved GREATLY since last season? We know he was good last year.. but.. wow.. imagine the media were telling everyone that he is the best player in the nation.. and then you watched his games this year.. you'd believe it, right? He's have done nothing yet for someone to doubt that... though there would be arguments, of course... but they would be of the form that so-and-so is better... not that Harper had disappointed.

Whatever he has done in the last year.. patent it.. share it among Rutgers players.. and lock it up in the vault when not in use.

But Geo said it best in the article:

“He is a star. I didn’t even realize how many points he had during the game. I was so into it. From the sideline while I was injured, it’s just crazy how much of a star he is. When you have a guy like that it’s so easy to call plays for him and get him the ball, he is going to do the rest. It’s great to see what he has grown into. I still think he has better basketball ahead of him too which is the greatest part about it.”

You’re lucky if you have one alpha dog on a team. We have Geo and Harper this year. That can be deadly.

It's not you. It's like his game didn't just go up a level, it went up three or four levels! And it's in every facet of the game. I'm sure he's making his old man proud and I have to believe he's also been driven by the tragic death of Kobe since it seemed to (for obvious reasons) really impact the young man.

Though five games does not a body of work make, I feel like he will continue his torrid pace through the B1G and his final Opus this season will be Maestoso!
