Smith is too small. My point is I’ll take Palmer where he was drafted over Smith at his draft position. Palmer is bigger and is at least as fast in pads.
Smith runs fantastic routes and gets open just about every play. The guy is a top 20 WR in the league. I wouldn't say he's too small. But yes, Palmer in the 6th round is a steal. I suspect that a lot of teams wanted to take him a lot earlier than that but felt like they needed to draft other positions instead.

Smith averages about 50 yards per game and .5 TDs and he plays virtually every snap. IF Palmer got that many snaps and targets I think he could approach that production for a fraction of the salary and draft capital.

"If only...." is the mantra of every WR in the league though. First Palmer has to beat out Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. And Smith certainly could be getting more targets, but AJ Brown is their #1. Smith always goes off when Brown is hurt though.
