Definitely.Prudential will be a ghost town for it.
Oh God, Walsh game for the network? Joy.Definitely.
The game is in South Orange.
Also, their recruiting is on FIRE!UConn rolling so far three televised wins over top competition while we get whooped in secret scrimmage and squeak by lowly Monmouth. Danny running a machine up there
Their recruiting has been on fire for 30+ years save for a brief period under Ollie and when Danny first got their and they were in the AAC.Also, their recruiting is on FIRE!
Already signed two (2) 5* Top 10 recruits. Also getting them out of Los Angeles and Charlotte. Beat out other big programs for them.
They are a WAGON!
Yet still won a championship at that time. I don’t even remember who was on that team aside from NapierTheir recruiting has been on fire for 30+ years save for a brief period under Ollie and when Danny first got their and they were in the AAC.
Uconn played 8 players in the title game, only 6 scored and one starter did notYet still won a championship at that time. I don’t even remember who was on that team aside from Napier
Yep. Like Coach Molinaro said, we’re not prepared. It seems like we never are. Meanwhile UConn and others are in mid season form. These poor exhibition showings doesnt help the student fanbase get excited. People ask why no student support. There u go
Yes but I believe those were all Calhoun recruits.Yet still won a championship at that time. I don’t even remember who was on that team aside from Napier
He also has $20 million to play with.UConn rolling so far three televised wins over top competition while we get whooped in secret scrimmage and squeak by lowly Monmouth. Danny running a machine up there
RU then. Better? Point holds. He also has $20 million to play with.
I would hazard a guess more.He also has $20 million to play with.
Supposedly 20-25% more than anyone in the league this year. But I don't believe the stuff that one hears or comes out publicly when it comes to specifics or exact details with this stuff. Bottom line we know there isn't a program in the league better resourced than UCONN. It's common sense. They are the blue blood. They are a big state school with football. They have an enormous, rabid fan base. And there is that CT law I posted about recently that I read apparently helps their donors give more because of the tax advantages compared to what exists in other states.I would hazard a guess more.
Very True.Yes but I believe those were all Calhoun recruits.
Believe they still recruited well though even after Ollie started to drop off and after Danny first got there and were relegated to the AAC (or whatever that league was). Just not at the level that Calhoun had going for like 20+ years or Hurley’s had going the last few years.
Fine, why didn’t you say this in your original post. Comparing SHU (or many, many other programs) to UCONN is pointless.RU then. Better? Point holds.
Or how about even Monmouth. They were much more ready to play than we were. We always come out flat and play down to our competition. It gets old after a while.
Because I had just watched UConn take down Purdue by a lot and it struck me how Danny has them rolling, playing high level competition in televised exhibitions etc.Fine, why didn’t you say this in your original post. Comparing SHU (or many, many other programs) to UCONN is pointless.
Many teams are matching UCONN on a $10 million budget! Right!Because I had just watched UConn take down Purdue by a lot and it struck me how Danny has them rolling, playing high level competition in televised exhibitions etc.
I can compare them. Stop the think small mentality. Plenty of teams are doing it.
Again with the money? Challenge yourself! Play multiple televised high level exhibitions! We can at least match what RU has done. If we keep admitting defeat we can never win. There's a reason Uconn is in midseason form already and it's not just because of 10 extra million. It's a culture they running up there. We limp out against bad competition. Even Monmouth came out ready to play. If it's just money, how could they match us with a fraction of the budget? DO BETTERMany teams are matching UCONN on a $10 million budget! Right!
In both cases, it’s because both teams have a core of returning players. We have 13 new guys, that’s not good and somehow that needs to be improved upon. If we had four or five key guys returning then yeah go out and get a high level exhibition game.Again with the money? Challenge yourself! Play multiple televised high level exhibitions!
