This has the potential to be an excellent game this year. Both teams are pretty good.

Are they going to pull back the curtain on the upper bowl?

Weak if they don't...

If i were a SHU fan I know I'd want the curtain.

Yea I doubt they’ll pull it up even though it would probably sell out with a late surge in tickets and be 65-35 Rutgers fans.

Ive seen them talk about how they open it up for Villanova but there’s a difference in filling your arena with Nova fans vs. it being taken over by their in-state rival.

Actually I keep forgetting it’s a Sunday night game which will keep people away but I’m sure there will be a great deal of hype around this game and they would fill most of the 2nd bowl.

Are they also requiring masks in their stadium? That's the one thing stopping me from going to the RAC rn.

I received an email this morning from the NJ Devils.

Policy is if you show proof of vaxx, mask is not required.

I don’t know if SHU will require anything else.

Here you go:

7:30 start will hurt attendance. Exam week also.

Seton Hall's home schedule sucks becaus of the conference it plays in. Any decent OOC game is a big event. With the exception of Villanova and UConn - what other BE opponent gets you excited. None for me.

I called Seton Hall the other day and they said they will start selling single game tickets on Monday, October 18.

Do you think Northwestern, Minnesota, Nebraska, would get the general public more excited than St. John's or Georgetown?

Per SHU ticket office at 4:00 Friday, "single game tickets go on sale Monday at 11:00, except Rutgers, which, if tickets available will go on sale in early November.". When I asked why so many on ticketmaster and others, I was told they use their "ticket partners" to sell tickets. While there are 50 seats on ticketmaster, seats you would want to sit in are 125 plus. As they say, short season to cash in.
I am just relaying what I was told.

What you're seeing on ticketmaster is resale, likely mostly from brokers (aka ticket partners).

Eh, in that case I'll wait. It's a Sunday night game and don't think interest will be quite as high as they think. Not paying crazy prices on the secondary market yet.

Bad job by Bryan Felt, AD at SHU, for not letting the general public purchase RU at SHU tickets today.

He’s intentionally keeping the crowd size down , losing out on revenues for his athletic dept

He’s banking on SHU season ticket holders buying up the rest of them.

I think some will and then list them on Stubhub

We do the same thing at the RAC in terms of general sale. We open all the tickets except SHU which is mini plan only so don't cast stones.

Like totally diff bruh

The RAC has a finite amount of seats, around 8k

The Rock had around 10k lower level which is the typical configuration for SHU games.

however, sometimes they lift the curtains that block off the 2nd and 3rd level seating.

That gives them another 7k possible seats to sell.

Ex: In 2020 attendance vs Villanova was around 16k.

Today, anyone can buy Tix to the SHU games vs UConn and Nova, both Saturday games , but not vs Rutgers.

Felt is ok with UConn and Nova fans filling up Prudential Center but not Rutgers fans apparently

Look for the curtains to be lifted for those two BE contests.

Looks like Felt would prefer a 10k capacity vs RU with 2k RU fans rather than the much more lucrative 15k crowd with at least 5k RU fans.

7:30 is a perfect time for this game. Nice dinner in the ironbound (Forno's for me). Not rushed
