Shoutout Caleb Tannor

I've noticed him giving 110% out there on numerous occasions, which I hadn't seen in his first 3 years at NU. Maybe it's not the career we all envisioned for him when he showed up to Lincoln, but kudos to the guy for not "just packing it in." Effort can help overcome shortcomings and I hope he sticks with it because with his athletic ability he'll make a splash before this season is over, whether it's a big game or a key play.

I've heard he has matured a great deal in comparison to when he showed up to Lincoln. Has some good athleticism and has made some good TFL this season. Hopefully we see more of it

Meh, still plenty of plays where he slacks off and gets pushed around. He's been better in the pass rush this year, and at least the team is good enough to cover his weaknesses against the rush. He went from the very worst starter in all of college football to maybe mediocre or average now. He has the athletic talent to be a really good football player, the mental side of it is just not there and he never lived up to his potential because of it.

I think Dawson has had a HUGE influence on both Caleb and Garrett.
Dawson sucks and I hope he gets fired. He's finally turned Tannor into an okay pass rusher when he has the athletic talent to be elite. Nelson hasn't really improved much from his Freshman year. I don't see much of an upgrade over the previous guy we had.

Even on plays he hasn't had an immediate impact on...he is still performing at a high level and doing his job. Agreed, kudos to Mr. Tannor.

This is the crap I refer to in your posts. This is an appreciation thread for one of our players. If you don’t appreciate him, fine. Don’t post. But instead, you choose to be an ***. I just don’t get it sometimes.

And go ahead and report me, I don’t care.

To suggest Tannor was the very worst starter in all of college football is laughable.

He doesn't owe you or I his true potential, he owes the coaches and his fellow players.

To say the mental side of it is just not there is another ridiculous statement.

Man, I thought Nelson was a wasted scholly but this year so far he has done a really good job. He will never be a freak pass rusher but he will be an above average starter in the conference for sure.

Nelson hasn't improved???? Ok.... He's up there in the nation this year in TFL. I can't tell if I am just missing your sarcasm, or you really just don't understand football.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say he is not using sarcasm. It's the other thing.

Appreciation thread for the worst 3 year starter in Nebraska football history. I even acknowledged that he's improved this year. If you can't appreciate that, then just stop responding to my posts.

He owes the 90,000 fans who fill up memorial stadium every home game his full effort and potential. And he absolutely was the worst starter in all of college football the past two years.

Yeah, he’s improved from the worst player in all of college football… just stop.

Look at the responses in this thread. Follow them. See how many people agree with you. No one so far. Not a single person.

But you know better than the rest of us. Uh huh.

no, he owes himself his own best effort and that is all he will ever owe. both him and nelson have improved significantly this year. if you cant see it that's ok, that just shows what you see.

Yes, I rewatch the condensed 40 minute version of just about every game because it's a better use of my time than listening to you idiots. The prior two years, Caleb Tannor had been pushed around on just about every play and contributed absolutely nothing. Just watch, he was the worst starter in DI football at any position. He's improved a lot this year, but that was from a very low starting point. He's still a mediocre player who gets pushed around a lot, but at least now his teammates are good enough to cover for him and he does make a good play every once in awhile. I played DE, and I know exactly what his assignments should be. Like I said, he's doing better this year, but the prior two years, he hardly ever got his assignment right.

Well he's not giving his best effort to himself or anybody, because he has the talent to be a much better player. And Nelson hasn't improved that much, Ty Robinson has improved which makes Nelson look a lot better. Nelson got blamed a lot for Robinson's mistakes.

Newsflash: measurables =/= talent

Tannor’s done well to turn himself into a serviceable piece

I think we should shoot for higher than serviceable. Especially when he has NFL measurables, being satisfied with serviceable isn't doing the kid any favors.

Reported! It’s just his opinion and you are so mean to him😱
My natural instinct isn't to tell on someone, it's to fight back. But I often got in more trouble that way than the guy who started the conflict. I've learned the best course of action is to report someone who's being an ******* to you. And yes, if any posters treat me with disrespect while breaking site rules, I'll report them.

You probably think every 7-footer can be Shaq, too, huh
You see, I think you're really the one who is disrespecting Tannor. The dude has the potential to be so much better than he is, and maybe if he had gotten the proper coaching while he was here, he would reach that potential. But if you think Tannor's the type of player to suck for 3 straight years just to become serviceable his final year, that seems more disrespectful to me than saying the kid never lived up to his potential.

Measurables do not equal talent

Maybe I am short changing him

Or maybe you’re clueless
