She says that was the only direct reference to Kirk, but what were her indirect referneces? If we want to make a fair comment, we need all the information. This seems like only a part of the information.

From the little I know about it, sounds like they're accusing her of misquoting Kirk by saying black women instead of the 4 black women he specifically called out. This thought police crap is out of control, especially if the below isn't a fireable offense.
first of all, why is there an association of black journalists?
Second, these folks, just like the rest of us (at least most of us) work at the will of the boss. They don't like your work, they fire you, demote you, or send you to the Siberian office. Journalists, whether black, white or green, are no better than the rest of the working class.

If we're looking for total consistency, assassinating Kirk for his beliefs, could be followed by a similar reaction to some of the more extreme leftists...a result that none of us want. We need to get off these inflammatory comments and attempting to make comparisons of actions made by disparate people for different reasons.

BUT, the Washington Post may be using her as an example that they are tightening up the ship. Trump has already successfully sued multiple news outlets for their lies and is now suing The NY Times for $15B. So it’s possible Bezos sent the message he wants more accurate reporting. Fair? If WP is a corporation, and they are, they can fire damn near anyone for anything at anytime. Ever heard of “right to work”? That law protects employers in most states from any kind of lawsuits. In states that don’t recognize “right to work” they just document the issue, issue performance plans, then fire you. If you don’t wanna get fired, do your job and keep your politics out of it.

They could both be legitimate honestly. She could've disclosed it was a vacation home early on, and then the credit union told her to put primary just to get her the better rate which they could potentially get approval for to get high credit borrowers to sign with them, etc.
The Georgia tax one would be different. Which Reuters reported she is paying the vacation tax rate I believe.

If there was a rate difference and they wanted to give her the lower rate. Could see a branch manager signing off on it for one of their loan officers, or something along those lines.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but if a loan company wants to give a lower rate the way NOT to do it would be to advise the applicant to lie on a loan document. If you want to give a lower rate, just give the lower rate
But, to be clear, I don't think she should have been fired without due process.
Here was the @PalmettoTiger1 post where he had indicated some lenders encourage the misrepresentation of primary versus secondary on their own company docs (again, likely to get the lower rate for someone they think is a safe bet), but as I noted, we all agree misrepresenting to the government is something different entirely.
