this has been discussed ad nauseam. He isn't going anywhere this year, no matter what the record is. You might as well accept that. And my belief is that we'll be 5-7. I don't see us slowing down OM this year, if Plumlee is still playing by then. That's 4 solid running threats they have. And their defense is much improved from last year, and even the first of this year. Mike McIntyre was a good hire for them. Next year is Joe's make or break year.

OM will be a tough game but I'm thinking we beat them. They are much improved tho. And yeah....Joemo no go. At least one more year.

If he had lost yesterday and finished 4-8, there were plans already discussed with admin, AD, high ranking donors, etc. since the Tenn for that scenario. If it came to pass. Joe absolutely needed that win yesterday.

If Joe can salvage the season and get us to the Dollar Tree bowl in Guatemala I'd say he deserves another year.....and a lot of me really, really wants him gone.

Eta: again, if he can make some sort of chicken salad out of this chicken $#!t of a season, he deserves another shot. However, in true Moorhead/State fashion, I can see us getting to 6-6 and finishing out the year looking like Joe has straightened things out.....only to lay a huge turd in the bowl game and get beat by Bob Jones Institute of Technology. What would we do then?

Believe me I'm not expecting an EB win. It will be a miracle if we do. So I guess I should clarify that I'm not expecting a bowl either. But if Joe gets us there I can't see the justification in getting rid of him, to answer the OP's question.

Were you expecting one yesterday? That egg bowl is four week off.

Were you also on that conference call with me and Joe and Cohen ?? It was quite contentious and eventful but I think we have a good plan for the future now

A win? Against Arkansas? To some degree, hell yes I was. OM is quite a bit more competent than Arky.

Four weeks away. That is all I was saying. Things changed. After LSU puts the beat down on them that intensity will soften a little once reality sets in they can't go to a bowl game and having to go on the road Thanksgiving.
