Why don't you get a life? We are playing great and I stuck with this team when others were yelling NIT and other BS. Love Quick and always have. You said I was wrong a lot. WHAT ELSE U GOT SON?

You should learn to argue without anger. I am not your son. Enjoy what you have asked for.

We still 20 to 30 points better than Duke or KU?

" I think we would have beaten KU by 30 and Dook by 20."

[roll]

I am pro UK but man.

Dam that's the best you could come up with, dig up on me. Just sad. Yeah, the first game of the year when I made the statement and we beat Mich St and I think we could have destroyed them both.

So you think it's crazy for me to think we could beat Dook by 20 right after NCST beat them by 22 LMFAO.[roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll]:flush:

Just like you said about SDSU being an E8 team it could happen. Stop LOL. You look like a fool. I don't even care enough to dive into your past dumb statements. You need a life and some joy. Work on that.

I don’t know you, but reading through this you don’t seem too joyful yourself.

There are fans that get more excitement when they feel they have more ammunition to say “Cal stinks and I’m right” than they do when we win. This thread is already proving it. Their post count picks up, they start more threads, etc. when we lose. They’d rather say “see, I’m right” than UK win. It’s why you can’t take any of them seriously.
No, fans just want to win, starting our best players gives us the best chance to win.

I wonder if any of the 8 people who voted Whitney when this thread started have the balls to step up and identify themselves now?

IQ won conference player of the year as a starter. I'm still laughing at the absurdity of bringing the conference player of the year off the bench. Funny how it was blindly defended by the same people who blindly defend everything.
I don’t know why this thread keeps getting bumped, no one at all was saying or thought that IQ should not be seeing 30+ minutes a game, and he was getting that even when he came off the bench. Minutes played is what matters. Did Ginobli for the spurs deserve to start? Does that mean that Pop is a bad coach since he brought him off the bench? I don’t care who starts as long as the right guys are seeing minutes. BTW i don’t think i voted in this if you were wondering

He had a bad shooting day in his first start. Go find a set of nuts to lick!

No one said anything about his minutes, it was about him starting and the team getting off to a good start and yall ridiculed people for their honest opinion. No one called Cal a bad coach either.

The very first reply to the OP states his minutes and that’s it. Again who starts does not matter minutes played and the lineup you have during those minutes is what matters. Quickley started against Florida and we started down 0-7. See how you can just pick and choose slow starts. Everyone knows quickley should play major minutes and has since this thread started some people just have a fascination with who starts which does not matter.
*note for individual players it could matter as in player A may play better when he starts or if player B watches how the game flows from the bench he is generally more successful but starting the best players does not necessarily increase your chance to win, playing them more minutes does

Yeah, but no one was citing that as a reason he should start. No one was clamoring for him to get more minutes. People wanted him to start to get off to good starts. Who starts does matter, who starts the 2nd half matters, setting the tone matters. That's why starting your best lineup is almost a universally adopted policy.

That is just not true, i already gave you the Ginobli example, Andre Igudala did not start for the warriors but was a part of their best and most effiecient 5 lineup. You can even go back to the old Celtic days when first Frank Ramsey and then John Havlicek both came off the bench but were members of their best lineup. Look I’m glad quickley is starting and it has been working but starting lineups do not matter

You named 2 exceptions, either was the best player on the team. Not starting your conference player of the year is simply silly and people who thought he should start aren't haters and trolls like many of them were called.

I did not see anyone call someone a hater or troll just explain how many minutes quickley was playing and give reasons why he may not be starting but was playing 33 minutes a game at the time. I google best lineup of all time and 4/10 included someone who came off the bench and did not start i just chose to list a few to get the point across. It’s fine you can have your opinion but historically teams do not always start their best 5 they do always play them the most minutes though

Most of them were joking. In fact, I think all of them were. The ones who said Quickley shouldn't start because the coach says so, are the ones that i have to question.
