Beat us in every phase? Our D is better. Special teams also likely better. Offense isn’t because of 1 reason, SS. If we don’t turn the ball over, with all of the talent you think they have, we likely win that game. Stop with your nonsense.
Turning the ball over and blown coverages leads to losses.
Therefore were arent better in any phase other than fandom for our team.

My group also spoke with an ex player on the 95 team while in Boulder. He never said "Boy I'd had played for this show boat a'hole who's only about himself over TO"

Is it? Our D better? We’re tackling better this year, but their D is a Helluva lot better than last year. I’d say the jury’s out on who has the overall better D. Held us to two scores (including one garbage score), 4/13 third down conversion ) they were 8/16. And forced How Many turnovers? Not being negative, just pointing out some stats here.
I hope USC hangs 70 on them, but that won’t shut them up. Nothing will shut them up. Unfortunately.

They had a good plan on D. Focus on shutting down the run. Make Nebraska pass. That doesn’t make their D better. Held us to 2 scores? Pretty sure we held ourselves to 2 scores.
Not saying we were the better team, but you can’t realistically say their D was better and maintain a straight face, can you?
They’re not winning any championships this year, agreed. But they’ve had the turnaround that could lead to a run of recruiting some elite Talent. They’re gonna get a ton of press coverage, and they’re going to a bowl, for sure. We’re basically the polar opposite in every way possible this year. What Not to do.

I’ll restate it- I’d NEVER wanna probably even be in the same room with Deion because of his overinflated ego and just grandiose nature. Not my type of human. But I’m not speaking of myself. And I’m shitting-you-not about the frmr player.
I’m saying that they were statistically better, last week. With a straight face. I’m a numbers guy. Are we better than we were last year? OBVIOUSLY so. Were some of our wounds self-inflicted? Lol yep. They still Caused more turnovers than we did, and held our offense to less yards than we did theirs… be interested to see where we stack up in overall D at the end of the season. Maybe we’re better. We weren’t last week.
I know we actually caused 1 turnover. I'm pretty sure they actually caused 1 turnover (int) which can probably be debated. The 3 fumbles were all on us, there wasn't contact that forced the fumble.
I understand where you're coming from, however playing for a Coach like Deion as opposed to TO is a no brainer to me. TO was a Coach who showed many examples of being there for his players thru thick and thin. His ex players have spoke about the admiration and character their coach exhibited while making them better men.
Prime is about himself. His teams accomplishments are his accomplishments and there's little room left for anyone else and his huge ego.
I guess your definition and my definition of “causing” turnovers simply doesn’t match up.
What is amazing is how some people Wish that we had Deion as our coach. These are probably the same people who were embarrassed by Pellini.

INT’s are a product of (usually) a bad QB decision, but also a d-back who can read and make the play. It’s not as if we handed them the ball… they were turnovers no matter how you wanna define it. Gotta jump on a fumble, either way. Yeah a couple ‘giveaways’, for sure. Nonetheless, their defense outperformed ours on paper, period. Probably wouldn’t 10 times outta 10, tho. No way. Never said our D sucked. They’re way improved, and we all can see that.

No f’ing way. Never said that, but Tom was a true Unicorn. Why he’ll ALWAYS be one of the most respected and revered coaches, everywhere and forever.
It’s a different era, though. There weren’t any Deion’s back then. Elite athletes WANT to play for him now, and CU’s dishing out the $ necessary to seal the deal. You don’t think his kids’ NIL money played a factor in where he currently is?
I’ll say it- I think our approach to recruiting and coach-hiring may be a bit antiquated.
Have never been PROUDER as a Husker fan of a coach (since Tom) than when Bo chased down Bill Snyder and cussed him out in the tunnel. Just an example.
