Shortened Games ?

In extreme, noncompetitive blowouts team can agree to play shortened 4th quarters, maybe 3rd quarters too but Shelby isn’t sure and doesn’t think so. Two questions in Shelby’s mind:

1. Has a P4/5 team ever been blown out so badly it chose to end its game early?

2. Might it happen this year in CFB ?

And will it happen to P4/5 this year.

No as conference rules don’t allow it. All of those games were FCS or out of conference games, which can use other rules as they are contracts between the schools, not the league

So, despite several games that Schiano might otherwise look to end early will all be 60 minute contests. Good to know.
