I get this is foul play and shouldn't be done. Possibly takes recruits away from schools who play it fair etc, but does anyone think it's kinda ridiculous for them to be dedicating FBI resources to investigating all this. Couldn't they be used on something more important?

Idk just my 2 cents

Pike tried hard at getting Nas. IMO, if money was brought up, Pike probably washed his hands off the whole recruitment. That probably explains why RU was not even in his top 10

SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC!

The worst kept secret in college sports is that SEC schools pay players to commit, but this is the 1st time we got actual proof.

It's way, way, way more than the SEC. Lots of blue bloods do it. The ones that usually get busted are the newbies who all of a sudden start pulling in top 10 classes.

Disagree that the FBI should not take this on. The FBI is involved with thousands of cases across the country and world and can investigate, chew gum and walk at the same time on many different criminal issues. With that said, I believe the FBI should investigate this because the NCAA is so pathetic and uneven on this kind of stuff and can't be trusted. (See UNC as example.)

I think we all know that this kind of "pay for play" goes on in college sports especially in the revenue sports of college football and basketball. But this time many of the agents, coaches and assistant coaches were caught. Personally, I would rather have the NCAA police itself instead of getting the FBI involved, but what I have seen is the NCAA is a toothless and in many ways corrupt, and looks the other way on many blue chip programs where we know this stuff goes on all of the time...whether it's money paid to players or tutors going to class for players and writing their papers.

A program like Rutgers will never be able to compete in that arena nor should they. A program like ours needs to be built with integrity from the ground up especially because we've been down so long. We cannot cut corners, because god forbid if Pike or his coaches tried and pull this off and were caught, you may as well get rid of men's BB at Rutgers, because it would literally be the death knell here. Of course at a school like LSU, sadly, it's business as usual. And as we know it's not just there. It's happening all over the country and it stinks to high heaven.
