The couple donated $5 million, promptly followed by Linda McMahon being appointed to head the Small Business Administration. (this was after Trump became President) However the article suggests "illegality" stretching back "decades". So the McMahon gift was "legal" years ago but became "illegal" after Linda was appointed to the SBA in 2017?
The article never specified exactly when the McMahon contribution was made, or what exactly was "illegal" about it?

- Timothy O’Brien, a highly respected executive editor of Bloomsberg Opinion, notes that Trump’s largest gift — $264,631 — went to renovate a fountain outside the iconic Plaza Hotel in downtown New York, a property owned by Trump. (the article doesn't specify how this was not Trump's own money, but instead belonged to his foundation?)
- Other expenditures included a $100,000 payment to clear up a lawsuit against his Mar-a-Lago retreat; another $158,000 payment to settle claims pursuant to a 2008 lawsuit at Trump National Golf Club.(again, it was not pointed out how these payments weren't Trump's own personal money and instead strictly foundation expenses?)
- As a topper, Trump also used foundation money to pay $10,000 to purchase a painting of himself. Finally, for good measure, Trump wrote out a check for $7 to the Boy Scouts of America — to cover Donald Jr.’s membership. (Once again, the article asserts foundation expenses were used for these payments, but if Trump donated his own money or paid for these things with his own money...where is that illegal?)
Trump donated over 5.5 million to his foundation, bought a painting, renovated a fountain outside one of his hotels, paid off a couple of lawsuits, and wrote out a check for 7 bucks for his kid's Boy Scouts membership allegedly using the Foundation's money that he contributed to! It's all illegal, even though he's a Billionaire who didn't have to use
any foundation money that he donated to with is own money to pay for a damn thing mentioned in the article! :flushed:
This article is nothing more than innuendo, accusations, and unsubstantiated documentation of an "investigation" being presented as proven fact and criminal illegality.

What does any of that have to do with these
charges? Are we to assume that "investigations" now presume guilt? Mueller's investigation is touted as producing "nearly 40 indictment/guilty pleas" and not a damn one of them has anything to do with Russian "collusion" with Trump to steal the 2016 election which is the entire reason for his existence in the first place! [eyeroll]
I'm not sure the OP even read the whole article, it's just another "smear Trump" piece he posts to this board on a daily basis because he can't find any Trump policies to criticize or offer any better alternatives from the Left.
