What's he actually in jail for? This is all kind of bizarre. Just hit the Google News tab and skimmed a few articles and so far he hasn't been charged with anything, despite being booked into jail. One article even said there likely won't be any decision on charges today.

I'm not a lawyer but I do know there is a gray area of being 'detained' by police but not under arrest. Unless Michigan has some seriously weird court procedures I'm pretty sure you can't keep someone in jail for multiple days without being actually charged with any crime. Detention to ask you some questions isn't the same as keeping you in jail indefinitely....

Just another of my correct predictions.

Immediately called that Michigan would go nowhere with Moore, and that he had a lot of growing up to do and would quickly encounter personal struggle.

Hate even taking credit for this one. When in your first moments in the limelight, you praise the Lord and two seconds later drop an f-bomb, these things aren't difficult to surmise. Is there a pulse beating in the Big Blue athletic department?
So 8-4 > 9-3?

Yeah, it's called habeus corpus and is kind of a big deal in our legal system.

Any Human Resources boss will tell you that having romantic and/or sexual relations with a subordinate is absolutely forbidden. Tempting as it may be, if you are caught (and you probably will be) you will be fired for cause.

This includes being drunk at Christmas parties.

The best part of the story is the guy who runs one of Michigan's message boards actively denying, attacking and banning posters who were discussing this before it all came out. Can't find the link right now but it was elite.

Fired Michigan coach Sherrone Moore was ‘suicidal’ after allegedly attacking woman, had stalked her for ‘months’: dispatch

He's going to jail for a looooooong time.

@IowaLaw I'm gonna need some analysis for potential jail time here.

Are these the facts?

* He is married with 3 young daughters

* He impregnated his executive assistant & she remains pregnant

--> If so, how many months pregnant is she?

* He allegedly attacked that pregnant executive assistant, leading to his arrest

But Michigan never should have fired him because she is an adult, right?
Not true. All companies have strict rules around managers being involved with subordinate employees. You leave yourself wide open for sexual harrassment charges if the relationship goes south.

In Michigan's case it is also about tarnishing their image when a married employee gets involved with another woman.

If he threatened lives and/or threatened to kill himself, it's the "psych hold" scenario.

Most coaching contract have morals clauses in them. Typically having a baby with a college aged girl while employed as the head football coach, and while married to a different woman, is not considered morally upstanding.....but what do I know.
Ding Ding Ding....
