Shelby scores 22 straight to come back and beat Aquinas 30-27. Aquinas lined up and ran the ball right at SRC and did a good job on defense. Aquinas will be a low seed that I would not want to play next week.
As are many teams this time of year, SRC is a bit beat up, with Vrbka and Eickmeier not playing as much as they have all season. Eickmeier has had 40+ carries 2 of the last 3 weeks and I am sure he will have at least another 20 from today, lots of wear and tear.
If Aquinas were to have kicked their PATs, this may have been a different ball game. Hindsight is 20-20. Aquinas kicked their first PAT to make it 7-0 and then went for their next 3 and didn't get any of the 2-pointers.
