Shelby has had the ball down around the crest 15 four or five times with zero touchdowns well until just now Shelby leads 21-6 with around 9 minutes to go

Shelby defense has played well up to this point and crest doesn't have a first down in the second half ! Minus rushing yards but a couple good passes

We could not block foster in the first half but have settled down some...

Told 71relic at lunch today this would be a great game and I said 21-17 final ! Almost called it !

Knew it would be a tough game and with about 5 minutes to go it by goodness turned into one

This should help both teams going forward !!! Adversity for both sides and both battled all night outstanding ballgame

Both teams played their hearts out.the fair catch on the one yard line leading to the safety killed us plus the missed xtra point and the blocked field goal. And the two point conversion to tie the game was wide open and he panicked on the throw. So many chances to win but it didnt happen. Shelby fans can probably go back and look at the game and say the same thing about missed chances

Chargers played a good game I wish we could have hit Odom on first and second down. Odom was doubled on 3rd downs and that made it tougher on our offense

Great game
Lots of stupid penalties
Shelby was clearly the better team
Coach Clark and staff did pretty much all they could do to win the game
Both teams left their best effort on the field
Cameron Peeler almost willed the Chargers to victory....he was awesome considering all things
Shelby's OL was the difference
Crest defense did exactly what was expected by keeping the Chargers in the game
Crest missed some opportunies to recover fumbles
Justin Foster was the BEST player on the field....
Tyshun Odom played his heart out on both sides of the ball
Truck was fun to watch
Shelby QB is going to break lots of records
Borders kid should have the opportunity to play on Sundays some day
Matter of fact we could see several of these kids playing on Sunday
Can't imagine a better rivalry in the state of NC
Even in a down year Crest should make noise in the 3A playoffs
Hard to believe Shelby will be challenged in 2A...don't give me that Lincolton crap....

Dax is a great person, player and deserves all the acclamations thrown his way....however it's in my opinion and mine only that Justin Foster was the best player on the field last night. He literally tackled the player blocking him and the QB at the same time. He's just a beast PERIOD 6'4" 245, long, strong and runs like a deer and even yet a better person than he is a player.

In a lot of ways J Borders was right there with him.....especially the considering double teams he had to deal with.

I hate Crest w a passion but Foster may be one of the best athletes in the country. Dax is one of the top players in our area and even the state but Foster is a different animal. No disrespect to Shelby or Dax, just complimenting Foster. 3A is wide open because there is no clear cut dominant team this year, therefore Crest's D could carry them to the ship, big plays by Odom and stout D can lead to a run.

We won the State title in 2009 and the 3rd round, 4th round, and State Title games we scored 9 points, 9 points, and 14 points respectively. Defense does win Championships!

Foster has the physical intangibles size, speed, but the difference between him and Dax, is Dax plays with reckless abandon. His mindset is if I get hurt so be it but I'm leaving everything out on the field. I don't always see that consistent fire with Foster. Maybe just a difference in personality. Just my opinion.
