How old are you Blue? If you don’t mind me asking.
54, my first game at Rupp was right before Rupp died! I saw us beat Magic Johnson in Dayton in Mideast Regional Final.
In the Summer of 78 Jack Givens had a basketball camp in Hopkinsville, my brother was 9 and asked jack to come to dinner at our house on our farm! He said yes and he came by himself. He had rented A Rolls Royce or he bought one. He drove up, it was awesome. He still remembers us. Great story and memory.

These Quotes coming out by Sharpe are a result of our Ky finest throwing threats at his family and Washington, it might come out or it might not! It just was inevitable! I hope we find out who did it!
That makes zero sense. If he was getting death threats why would he try and make fans more upset with him.Go play with your Darth Vader toys.

Sharpe, I could care less about. The man that allowed it to happen is still here, and will allow it to happen again. Not one apology, or promise not to allow this to happen again from cal or barnhart. They clearly don't see a problem with it, so guess where the next 5 star who doesn't want to actually play is going? That's right, Kentucky the new None & Done layover for the NBA.
Ok.

No ****? That’s absolutely nuts. Did he let you check out the car? Or I’m sure that was the last thing on y’all’s mind. Lol. That’s awesome.

If he wants to avoid criticism he should have played basketball instead of earning money while sitting on his butt . He’s got some sort of victim complex if he thinks he doesn’t derseve criticism after using the program. Did he think we’d be happy as long as he got drafted?!😂

Why the hell does it bother you more that the fans went after him than Sharpe using the program?

Does it make you feel better to bend over and take it, then ask for more? Apparently it does.

The greatest to ever play the game do not willingly sit on the bench.

Of course, this is nothing I didn't already assume. He's a selfish douche so he's going to do selfish douche things. The problem here is that the leader of the program allowed it to happen. Let him stay here and let him lie and then covered for him, let him get NIL money, let him use UK's resources, and then bounced without giving anything at all. That's on Cal. I cannot imagine any prior Kentucky coach allowing that to happen.
Very good post. Spot on!! I can't imagine "the greatest to ever play" would sit on the bench while his teammates play injured. He is selfish and delusional.

When you attend a school on an Athletic Scholarship then decline to participate that's stealing. When you have no regrets or can't see that you did anything wrong that shows a complete lack of character..

It'll be interesting to see what NBA team rewards him anyway or if he gets passed on and goes later than anticipated..

With his attitude he couldn't be a good teammate.
I totally agree. Some people say that he didn't cost UK anything, because Cal doesn't use all of the scholarships. But I wish those people would stop and think about this:

He could have just set out for a year and not go to college. BUT, then he would have had to PAY out of his own pocket for trainers, training space, and whatever other costs are involved in training, etc. By coming to Kentucky, he got all of this and more for FREE. With no intent of fulfilling his CONTRACT. A scholarship is basically a contract between the school and player. If you promise to play for us, we will give you this (education, room and board while training, being coached, cared for medically, and whatever else). UK did their part of the contract. Sharpe did not fulfill his part. Therefore, he should pay back the value of the services he received. How much do you think he, his parents or whoever, saved by him screwing Kentucky?

Also, another question: I don't think this fiasco would stop Cal from letting it happen again, because I don't know that he thinks he did anything wrong. So what do any of you think the response would be if it DID HAPPEN again? I know most of us think surely it wouldn't because of how disgusting the whole thing has been. But really, with Cal, do we know that it won't happen again? And by response, I mean from the fans, the administration, Barnhart, media, etc. Whoever. I'm just curious as to how big the explosion would be, if any.

Because everyone has continued to enable his entitlement, including Mr. "I keep it real" Calipari.

Cal is a cuckold clown now. He had a real chance to be maybe the first person in Sharpe's life to tell him he's a narcissist but he chose the safe way.
I dont think Cal can see him as a narcissist, because Cal is also a narcissist. He wouldn't recognize those traits. That's why I think Cal really doesn't think he did anything wrong.

Nope this is new.
I and others thought it was handlers.
HE has made it different. He ****ed Cal and BBN and NIL without a reach around.
if YOU can’t handle it… you need to move on

Calipari was behind this as much as he was. Calipari is too involved and knows all of the ins and outs of the NBA and has contacts everywhere. Calipari also said Sharpe wanted to go in a game and he told him no. That never happened by Sharpes own admission.

Calipari was NOT DUPED by an 18 year old kid when it comes to this kind of thing. Come on people.

Sone of you are going to have to accept Calipari is a liar. He can’t pull players like Sharpe anymore and allowed this to happen for his own ego. Sharpe would not have come to UK if he thought he’d be forced to play. It’s time to stop coddling John Calipari. UK fans need to look out for UK, not Calipari.

😂 at anyone who thought this was all his handlers doing. If sharpe wanted to play he would have played period. This kid will be far closer to a Khalil Whitney than he ever will be to an MJ.

Rupp would have sent Sharpe packing, in fact Rupp would have told him up front....you don't play, you dont stay.
Not just Rupp, but any coach back in the old days would’ve sent him packing. A healthy player refusing to play was once considered automatic grounds was getting kicked off the team.

But times have changed and players have changed. Coaches today don’t have to like the changes, but they do kinda have to adapt and deal with them.

Rupp would’ve let sharpe play or the school. No doubt.
