Does it seem weird that when TyTy was interviewed, he said he didn't know who made the decision for Sharpe not to play? He said he assumed it wasn't Sharpe because what competitor wants to sit on the bench.

Either:
1) Sharpe never told TyTy that he made the decision himself
2) TyTy isn't being truthful about what Sharpe told him
3) Sharpe isn't being truthful about making his own decision

And look, if he had a change of heart and decided not to play and at least acknowledged that he didn’t fulfill his side of the deal... I’d be cool with that. But saying you have no regrets and saying you did something right... that’s just tone deaf and is going to burn bridges.

Does Sharpe even realize that he’s also potentially burning bridges across the NBA with statements like that? Probably not.

Think about a Pat Riley or assortment of other guys with UK ties... Yea, if he becomes the next Lebron, he can say dumb things all day.... but he very well might need those guys in his career and could need the benefit of the doubt. Even the guys with out UK ties can see a red flag there. Best case for him is that they view it as immaturity and hope he grows out of it.

End rant

They can’t move past it. They don’t want to.

if those are fireable offensives then a lot of coaches better watch out.
This isn't about a lot of coaches. A lot of coaches aren't making Cal's salary. A lot of coaches aren't coaching at UK which provides them with the best resources available in college sports.

I don’t think Ty would openly lie, not without dropping a hint.

I’m thinking Number 1. Because no teammate is gonna say that. Not and be like by his mates.

Kid should have kept his mouth shut and went on, but all it does is put more fuel to the fire.
Because everyone has continued to enable his entitlement, including Mr. "I keep it real" Calipari.

Cal is a cuckold clown now. He had a real chance to be maybe the first person in Sharpe's life to tell him he's a narcissist but he chose the safe way.

Does it make you feel better to hate him? Serious question.
You're like the annoying relative who defends the family drunk who just ruined Thanksgiving dinner.

There's no nobility in being wrong, which you pretty much are with every post (being wrong, that is).

I think you get a kick out of it. Which is weird. I'd pay money to watch a "day in the life of Ed" documentary to see how you truly interact with the world when you're not on this message board.

Ok. St Peters was actually a 15 seed. 9-16. Losing record against top 25 teams since 2015. Losing records to Self, Barnes, Pearl, K, etc since 2015. Only won the SEC regular season twice since 2015. Only won the SECT twice since 2015. No F4’s since 2015. No one seeds since 2015. Losing to Duke by a thousand points. Shall I go on or should that be enough to get him fired at the Gold Standard?

Screw Sharpe. Having said that, screw Calipari for letting it go down like it did. Cal should have had the balls to send him packing when he refused to play.
agree, but if the total truth was to ever come out, ccc did this to make himself look better by signing the #1 recruit. He wanted to prove to Duke that he could still land a big fish.........too bad that big fish turned out to be a discarded shoe sunk in the mud

Now I'm beginning to understand our late season loss of focus.Injured players playing thru being injured and you have this ******* making NIL money and sitting on the bench refusing to play..
Yeah Calipari, you ain't gonna be held hostage by any player huhh.....what a damn joke you are.
any one with common sense would have to understand this entire situation destroyed the team chemistry and along with the injuries & ccc usual lack of coaching ability would equal nothing but disappointment

Dude said he has no regrets not playing for UK and it was his decision... Said he's getting drafted so it's turned out pretty well.

His name should never be affiliated again with Kentucky!!!
It is CCC'S fault...if he made the decision to not play then the COO should have pulled his financial support and send his selfish *** home? Now what's he tell the next wannabe no. What a fool he looks like and is.

Sad state of our society when this thread has 2 times as many pages as the thread about RIP Mike Pratt. One is a true Wildcat legend while the other is an abomination that should never be mentioned by UK or any of us again. I know I posted on this thread, and I am guilty of it as well...before those types jump on me.

Feel like he is saying this to cover his handler. Also, makes him seem decisive as we have seen a few GMs / scouts express worry about his cowardice of playing.

Either way, hope he never gets a second contract. Don't want an injury, just flame out and be a bust
I not so kind with the way he used UK. Broken ankle would suit me just fine.
