The greatest to ever play the game do not willingly sit on the bench.

Of course, this is nothing I didn't already assume. He's a selfish douche so he's going to do selfish douche things. The problem here is that the leader of the program allowed it to happen. Let him stay here and let him lie and then covered for him, let him get NIL money, let him use UK's resources, and then bounced without giving anything at all. That's on Cal. I cannot imagine any prior Kentucky coach allowing that to happen.

Does it make you feel better to hate him? Serious question.
No. But I think it is okay to dislike him and his actions for refusing to play. If he plays, I think there is a good chance UK makes a serious run. I believe this board is upset with the "what could have been" with him. Instead, he acted selfishly and refused to compete and sat on the bench in his track suit, while others on the team played injured.

I don't hate anyone, you asked a question and I answered it.You obviously just like to antagonize people on this board.
He’s not a UK fan. He’s a troll only here to antagonize people, like you said. Whatever is bad for UK he seems to revel in. He’s not hard to figure out. Probably a trashy UT fan pretending to be a UK fan.

No I’m trying to understand how a decision by an 18 year old kid can destroy so many people. It’s not healthy.

No offense, but at this point who cares.
Sharpe, I could care less about. The man that allowed it to happen is still here, and will allow it to happen again. Not one apology, or promise not to allow this to happen again from cal or barnhart. They clearly don't see a problem with it, so guess where the next 5 star who doesn't want to actually play is going? That's right, Kentucky the new None & Done layover for the NBA.

Been here since 2004. I’m as big a fan as anyone on here. I don’t antagonize anyone. I post what I believe.

For one, I'm far from being destroyed, been a fan since 1975 and will continue to be a fan.You had mentioned earlier,"beating a dead horse"..I agree that we should move on but when the kid makes a comment like that, it just opens this board back up to discuss it.

Because people on here seek out stuff he says. I’ve moved past him. I wish him well, hope at some point him being here benefits UK recruiting. I don’t watch the nba. Maybe a few minutes here and there if the finals because my oldest son watches.

The funny thing is when he is done with his career after making half a BILLION dollars, he won’t really care what the BBN thinks about him.
How is that "funny"?

Trust me, the feeling is MUTUAL with me and MANY others. My problem is with OUR head coach ALLOWING this to happen then having the gall to LECTURE the fans on being critical about it!!!

If calling out EVERYONE involved in the situation keeps ANY kid from committing to UK, WHY would we want that kid???!!!!!!

What is your honest opinion of the Sharpe situation? Sorry if I previously missed your take on it. After it came out that both Tyty and Grady were playing injured (Grady's feet hurt so bad he had to crawl to the toilet), and we had the potential #1 pick and "transcendent" player refusing to contribute and play, does that not rub you the wrong way? Do you feel like he used the UK program? Or, do you commend Sharpe for acting in his own best self interest?

I am genuinely curious.

I couldn’t care less that he didn’t play at UK. But his comment about his own greatness, after having only ever played against HS competition, is comical. At this point I’d laugh if he winds up being talked about in the same sentence as NFL’s Jamarcus Russell as being one of the worst draft picks in the history of American sport.

Do you ever post anything other than attacks at posters?

I know why. You dont have anything to add to a discussion because your whole reason for being on here on here os to troll and stir up. No knowledge of the game. No real understanding, just spew trash at posters.

A few weeks ago I posted a huge thing about how I think it all went down. I wish I could remember the thread it was in. Personally I mostly blame the families advisor Washington. For what ever reason he had control over that family. I hate the way it all went down. In hindsight some things are clearer. It’s easy to go back now and say how things should have done differently. I’m disappointed because I would have liked to see him play. But it’s over. Can’t be changed. And I refuse to hate him, hold a grudge, wish his career go bad, ect. Just not the way I think. If I can find that other post I’ll tag you

I consider Enes a Wildcat and I guess Sharpe if he claims Kentucky. The kid will be a really good player, I have a feeling as he gets more publicity and fame, that more fans will claim him with an asterisk.
I honestly don't think you'll find many, other than yourself who would ever claim him as a former Kentucky player. Enes was a completely different story and would have played if he could.

Once again you miss the point....Cal is the one that fans are really upset with....he let this happen

Sharpe is collateral damage
Agree and disagree. On one hand, you can't force an 18/19 year old to play (or any age really), if they refuse to play. On the other hand, when Cal found out that it was clear he had no intention of playing, something could have been done.

Thanks for clarifying. I have seen you post a lot, but I wasn't sure your take on it.

On a side note, I hope all the dads on the board have a terrific Father's Day.

Dude said he has no regrets not playing for UK and it was his decision... Said he's getting drafted so it's turned out pretty well.

His name should never be affiliated again with Kentucky!!!
Too bad Ty Ty being invited to the Green room now gives Cal a reason to be there with Sharpe....How can anybody sit on he bench, and watch his team and teammates get upset by St Peters...
