Not going to read 9 pages to see if this question has been answered:

Did the kid graduate in May 2021, only to stick around high school for a bit longer, to then enroll at UK for second semester so he wouldn't have to play and thereby risk not being as good as advertised? This was all just a master plan orchestrated by his "camp" then?

Has that come out yet? It's the only thing that makes sense *if* he really did "graduate" in May 2021.

It was easy to see this coming unless you just didn’t want to. The entire situation was shrouded in deceit & shadiness. Sharpe, his camp & Cal were all predictably FOS & lied thru their teeth all season. Absolutely disgusting. And, to think how ppl were attacked & mocked for seeing things for what they were.
There’s this narrative that people were attacked and mocked for saying Sharpe would leave. That’s not true at all. Quite simply, y’all were being ridiculous for absolutely obsessing about it. Most of knew what was gonna happen and knew it was out of our control so we didn’t spend time making threads about it every day and losing sleep over it. I promise you, no one on this board was blindsided by this news.

While this decision pisses me off, I can understand him leaving if he's guaranteed a spot in the lottery. But Cal's decision not to play Sharpe...

I suspected this would happen just because it would be almost unprecedented in the modern era for a player who’s a lock to go top-10 to return for another year in college. Nonetheless, I didn’t say much until it was confirmed because I don’t want to slander anyone.

Now that this is all but official, I can say it. Sharpe and his handlers are liars. They very publicly insisted that he was coming back even after it leaked out that he was draft eligible, so there’s absolutely no way to give them any benefit of the doubt. I have no respect for them at all.

As for Cal, there’s only two options and neither are flattering. Either he was in on the con and was lying right along with the Sharpe camp, or he totally and sincerely believed everything they said without doing a modicum of due diligence before accepting his commitment and letting him hang around the program in order to not play. This whole scenario couldn’t have been handled any worse.

Talk about having your nose up Sharpe’s *** . How in the **** was that positive for Kentucky ?

That makes perfect sense. I wonder how Krysten would feel if some guy dumped her and said, "I didn't really care about you and I was just waiting for something better to come along. But out of all the women out there that I could have used, I chose you. So you should feel honored."?

I figured the Oscar news was released to deflect from the Sharpe news. I can't blame the kid, but a terrible look for Cal who is notorious for having everyone and their brother declare for the draft early..

Someone put an APB out on BassFan and Ed. Might want to check High Bridge.

I don't know who she is but she's a bleeping idiot. And get a name. It's spelled Kristen.

Newsflash Krysten: That scholarship was wasted on someone who did not want to play where when it could have gone to several top tier recruits who went elsewhere because Sharpe was coming here and they didn't think Cal would start them over him. Instead we could have had one of them on the roster when Wheeler and TyTy went out with injury and we struggled.

That Tweet is too damned stupid for words.

It absolutely was. The Oscar news was supposed to come out Friday per Stormy Liberal on today's KSR podcast. They bumped it up to yesterday because they knew this **** was coming out today.

Why put Oscar on ESPN at 115 on a Wednesday with that news?

As salty as I am and have been with Cal, this whole thing is clearly on the Sharpe camp. My issue is Cal not taking a hardline stance of "if you're not going to play, then there's the door." You can't make a kid play, but people who say they worry about how that would affect recruiting...get real. These kids all want to go pro, but you think the ones who are sweating it out and working hard at Kentucky are OK with someone just coming in here to ride the pine and workout to protect themselves. I doubt it.

Did a simple "I disagree with you" suffice when people were warned about this? No. We were called U6 fans, stupid, idiots, morons, trolls, you name it.

So yeah, a simple 'I told you so' will NOT suffice.
I think you took my post the wrong way. I have been saying he was gone for months. We agree.

Funny… wearing a Kentucky uniform in the photo. Never played a second on the court for the school. Just sat on the bench for half of the season and collected NIL money while guys like Oscar, Grady, and TyTy played through adversity. He doesn’t deserve to wear that jersey.

LolLol!!

The assclown actually graduated 6 months before stepping foot on campus, and then preceded with Cal to defraud and lie to the University and BBN!

Excuse me, if that isn’t a termination worthy event, what in holy heck is? Also, how did Mitch not know what was going on? Or did he?

UK is EFF’d as long as Cal remains HC! What other program would hire the scumbag away from UK, so they could avoid the buyout clause? None.
