I'd say patriotism is what matters, not partisanship. You're blaming the wrong thing. You have to first define patriotism.

Until you do that, you are simply virtue signaling.

You act like anything she has said or done at MSU is any less Patriotic than what she did on the USA basketball team.
Before anyone comes back with some specific statements from her, I really do not care nor do I keep up with her personal ideals/motivations.
More than one thing is patriotic.

Its really not about political views. When you go to the Olympics to represent the red, white and blue you put your partisanship on the shelf or you shouldn't go at all. Yes, I will root against any American who goes to the Olympics to supposedly represent the USA and then uses that opportunity to protest the country they are representing. That should be an embarrassment to any American, conservative or liberal. Funny part is, I'm sure there are many athletes around the world that would like to protest something about their own country but either don't have the freedom to do so or have enough loyalty to their country to realize its not the time and place to do so.

So you are agreeing that our country has the freedom to do it? Also, who is protesting directly against our country at the Olympics?
