I’m sure Chuck is a fine guy on a personal level… But let’s not act like he didn’t enable Yancy for years. This was not the first time Yancy pulled something like this. Not by a long shot. And Chuck never did anything about it, because Yancy basically recruited for OM and was a good rebel.

If you are a manager/employer and one of your employees makes a mistake, that is one thing. But you cannot tolerate years of know dishonesty, cutting corners, and unethical behavior.

Why would Yancy stop if every time he recruited for OM or doctored a quote, Chuck would come to his rescue? Chuck was probably encouraging it. We all saw the DM where Chuck bragged about Yancy being responsible for getting dozens of players to OM over the years.

All this propping Chuck up as some kind of fantastic human and just a victim in all this is nauseating.

I can't imagine being him right now. He has spent over a decade (and maybe close to 2 decades) doing a job that gave him exactly zero useful skills for anything else. His job primarily involved things that are sort of adjacent to journalism, but he can't write or spell, so he can't even do a job that would involve something like putting out a company newsletter.

Unless there is an ole miss fan that is just going to take care of him, I don't know what he can do at this point. I guess he was essentially in sales, and that's a high paying field if you're good at it, but just telling a bunch of fanboys what they want to hear is a little different from the typical sales job.
